This Could Be The OnePlus 6T In Disguise

OPPO had confirmed the OPPO R17’s design and specifications earlier today, and by doing that, the company has probably revealed the OnePlus 6T’s design as well, at least to a degree. The OnePlus 5 was identical to the OPPO R11 in terms of the design, while the same can be said for the OnePlus 5T and the OPPO R11S. Having said that, OnePlus has decided to change things a bit with the OnePlus 6, as the OnePlus 6 is not completely identical to the OPPO R15, but it’s still quite similar. The front side of the device looks identical to the OPPO R15, while the back is quite similar, save for the camera orientation and a different fingerprint scanner orientation.

Having all that in mind, the OnePlus 6T will almost certainly feature the same looking front side as the OPPO R17, which basically means that we already know what it will look like, all we have to do is take a look at the provided image. Now, it remains to be seen if the phone’s back side will be different this time around, or will OnePlus just take the OPPO R17’s back side and run with it. This essentially means that the OnePlus 6T will sport a noticeably smaller notch compared to the OnePlus 6, as it will be triangle-shaped (kind of), and it will pack in a front-facing camera and an earpiece. Bezels on the OnePlus 6T will be even smaller than the ones on the OnePlus 6, and it seems like its display will be even larger this time around. The OPPO R17 sports a 6.4-inch display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 (fullHD+), and the OnePlus 6T will almost certainly ship with that exact display size and resolution, which will make it a bit larger than the OnePlus 6.

It remains to be seen if OnePlus will opt to include a rear-facing fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 6T, as was the case with the OnePlus 6, or will the company opt to utilize an in-display fingerprint scanner. OPPO actually went both ways, and announced both variants of the phone, so the cheaper one ships with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while the more expensive one will include an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone’s battery will almost certainly will be larger than the one in the OnePlus 6, so you can expect to see a 3,400mAh or 3,500mAh battery pack inside of the device, as the OPPO R17 packs in a 3,500mAh unit. There will be other spec differences includes, of course, as the OnePlus 6T will ship with the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is Qualcomm’s flagship SoC, instead of the Snapdragon 660. In addition to that, the phone’s storage setup will be different, and so on, the point is, the design will be quite similar, or at least that’s what’s expected to happen. The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch later this year, probably in November, and more info will probably surface in the near future.
