The Blackview BV6800 Pro will become available for pre-order on September 10, a successor to the Blackview BV6000, one of the company’s most successful smartphones. The company says that it has sold over 10 million BV6000 units to date, and it is hoping that the BV6800 Pro will be quite successful as well. In any case, the pre-sale period for the BV6800 Pro will last from September 10 to October 1, and it will be discounted to $189.99, initially (24-percent discount), but its price tag will increase by $3 every day, until it reaches the phone’s regular price tag of $249.99 on September 30.
This is not the first time we’re seeing such marketing strategy in China, but it’s a rather interesting take on things, which makes you act fast if you’d like to save as much as possible. Now, in addition to this discount, you will also get a $40 gift bag if you pre-order the device before October 1, in other words, the company will bundle in a wireless charger and a screen protector. Having said that, the Blackview BV6800 Pro differentiates from the BV6000 both by design and specifications, though this is still a rugged smartphone. Blackview has even released a 2-minute long promo video for the device, which we’ve embedded down below. First and foremost, it is worth noting that the BV6800 Pro is IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810G certified, which, in other words, means that you can use it under water up to 2 hours (up to 6 feet), and that it can fall from approximately 3 meters of height without consequences.
The Blackview BV6800 Pro features a 5.7-inch fullHD+ display, while it comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device comes with a large 6,580mAh battery, just like its predecessor, while Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the phone. NFC chip is built into this device, while the device is fueled by the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor. You will find two cameras and a fingerprint scanner on the back of this phone, while a single 8-megapixel camera is included on its front side.
