College Football is finally back. And for cord-cutters, there has never been more options than there are for the 2018-19 season of College Football. While week one is already in the books – with plenty of upsets – there’s still plenty more football to be played, leading up to the College Football Playoff in January. Whether you’re looking to watch games on the go on your smartphone or on your TV without having a cable box, we’ve got you covered. In addition to the options below, you can also sign into apps like ESPN, Big Ten Network and the SEC Network using a streaming TV service. Many of these services offer free trials between seven and 14 days, so you can check out the service before giving them any cash.
DIRECTV NOW
DIRECTV NOW has a slew of channels available, including the majority of channels that show college football. Those include ESPN, ABC, NBC and Fox. For those in the midwest, the Big Ten Network is also available, but not on the cheapest package. It is included in the $55 package, and not the $40 package, which is unfortunate, but it is one of the premium channels on DIRECTV NOW’s service. With DIRECTV NOW, you do have the ability to do 48-hour rewind on some channels. So if you did miss the beginning of the game, you can quickly start from the beginning and not miss a single second of the action. That is definitely a perk to having DIRECTV NOW, as a lot of other services don’t include that, or charge extra for DVR.

Fubo TV is the option that sports lovers are going to want to take advantage of. There are two plans here, one with 85 channels and one with $105, and it starts at $45 and goes to $50. So it’s actually really cheap. It has just about every sports channel you can think of. Of course, ESPN’s group of channels is there, as well as Fox and NBC’s channels. But NFL Network, NBA TV, Big Ten Network, and the Pac12 Network. There is also other add-ons for even more channels, particularly for Fox’s soccer channels, which will add another $6 per month. Hulu Live TV is another pretty decent option. It has a single plan that is priced at $39.99 per month. So it’s right in line with the others here. It also has a slew of sports channels including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, FS1, FS2 and many others. Hulu Live TV also includes a few add-ons for other premium networks like HBO and SHOWTIME, as well as DVR. Sling TV is perhaps the cheapest option here, with prices starting around $25 per month depending on what channels you want to watch. Sling TV markets itself as allowing you to have more granular choice over what channels you are actually paying for. Sling offers two packages. Sling Blue and Sling Orange, each are $25 per month, and you can get both for $40. The Sling Orange offers the ESPN group of channels, while Sling Blue offers NBC and Fox’s channels as well as their regional sports networks. So in order to really get all of the football you can handle, you’ll want to get both for $40 and that puts it in line with the other services here.

YouTube TV is probably one of the more well-rounded options here. YouTube TV has many of the top channels, and it has all (or three out of the four major) local channels in every local market that it is available in. So you’re getting a pretty good experience here. It costs $40 a month, and like Hulu’s option, there is only one plan here. But, YouTube TV does include all of the usual sports channels. That includes ESPN’s group of channels, along with Fox, its regional channels, FS1, FS2, NBC Sports and its regional channels, and there’s also the Big Ten Network available. YouTube TV does allow you to DVR any and all content, and there is no limit on how much you can DVR. It’s all included in the $40 price tag as well.

There’s plenty of ways to watch College Football this way. Any of the options above are pretty great options, though if you are looking to save some money, then Sling TV is definitely the best bet. But if you are looking to watch a ton of sports, then Fubo TV is the better option – not to mention you get 85 channels for the same price as others are offering around 40 to 65 channels.
