LG V40 ThinQ Will Be Announced On October 4: Official

The LG V40 ThinQ is one of the most notable flagship smartphones that are still expected to arrive in 2018, and the company has just confirmed the launch date for that handset, the device will become official on October 4. LG Korea has confirmed this info via a blog post, and the company also attached a short teaser video as well, which suggests that the LG V40 ThinQ will sport three cameras on its back, which is not exactly surprise following plenty of leaks and rumors.

This event will be held in Seoul, South Korea, and it is still unclear whether this will be the only launch event, or is LG also planning to host an event in the US / Europe that very same day, but we’ll assume that this is the only one for the time being, as that is the only one that has been announced thus far. Now, the LG V40 ThinQ will launch before both Google’s Pixel 3 devices, and Huawei’s Mate 20 lineup, as those are expected to arrive on October 9 and October 16, respectively. If leaked renders are to be believed, the LG V40 ThinQ will sport three horizontally-aligned cameras on the back, below which a fingerprint scanner will be located. An LED flash will sit next to the cameras, and both LG’s and V40 ThinQ logos will be placed on the back of the device. The LG V40 ThinQ will be made out of metal and glass, its back side will be curved a bit, on the sides, while a display notch will be present on the top of this phone’s display. A thin ‘chin’ will be included below the phone’s display, while the device is expected to include some sort of an IP rating for water and dust resistance.

The device is expected to sport a 6.4-inch QHD+ POLED display, along with 6GB of RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, while a Quad DAC will be included in the package as well, and dual stereo speakers are also rumored. The LG V40 ThinQ is also expected to ship with a 3.5mm headphone jack, while two 12-megapixel cameras and one 16-megapixel camera are expected to be included on the back of this smartphone. 8-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras are expected to sit on the front side of the phone, while the device will probably include a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
