Microsoft Edge Now Lets You See Book Annotations On Android

Microsoft Edge browser has been available for Android for quite some time now, and it has now received a new update, which brings some new features along the way. When you get the newest update (42.0.0.2313), you will be able to see annotations that you made in books, though that doesn’t apply to PDF free-form inking. On top of that, Microsoft added an option for you to see ‘What’s new’ and tips web page from the Settings and more menu. General performance of the browser has also been improved, said the company.

That’s pretty much everything that Microsoft listed in its Play Store changelog. The ability to see annotations you made in books is a feature that has been in testing since August, as it has been available in the beta version of Microsoft Edge, and it’s now ready for primetime it seems. This new feature can be quite useful if you read books via this browser often, or you’ve been looking for a browser which offers such a functionality strictly for reading books. Microsoft has been improving its Edge browser constantly, and it’s actually currently holding a solid 4.4-star rating in the Play Store, after over 30,000 rating, and over 5 million installs. This browser has been available via the Play Store since November last year.

Microsoft Edge offers a rather functional UI, and great integration with Windows desktop OS. The toolbar is placed on the bottom in Microsoft Edge, which makes it easier to reach with one hand, it actually has a similar setup to Opera. Microsoft Edge has voice search built in, and the same can be said for QR code reader. ‘Reading View’ is also one of the features of this browser, while standard Internet browser features are also available, such as bookmarks, incognito mode, and so on.
