In Short: A ton of smartphones out there have notches these days, and if you own the OnePlus 6 or one of the devices from the Huawei P20 series, the Notch Battery Bar application may prove to be useful. The name of this app is kind of self-explanatory, it will basically add a battery bar below the notch, from its start to finish. You can use this app with any regular wallpaper, or the live wallpaper that is provided by the developer. This app also allows you to change the color of the battery bar, you can basically add custom colors to the mix, and make it look any way you want.
Background: This is the first application of this kind that we’ve stumbled upon in the Play Store, and it’s a really new app at the same time. This app has only nine reviews at the moment (at the time of writing this article), and the app has been created by a company called “Extinct Entertainments”. This company has almost a dozen apps published in the Play Store, including the “DSLR Guru – Photography Guide”, Crush Love Calculator, and Folder Organizer, amongst others. We’ve stumbled upon quite a few battery bar apps in the Play Store over the last year or so, apps that add battery bars to your navigation bar, or turn your notification tray into a battery bar, but not a single one of those apps allow you to utilize that notch that you need to look at either way.
Impact: Truth be said, this application will bring a bit more attention to the notch at the top of the display, and if you’re not bothered by that, and even appreciate having such info there, then this app may be just right for you. Do keep in mind that the app is compatible with the OnePlus 6 and the Huawei P20 range only, at least according to the developer, so don’t expect much on other phones.
