In Short: A YouTube channel called ‘Concept Creator’ has just released a new concept video, and time around, we’re looking at the Nokia 9 concept. This video is inspired by recent leaks of the Nokia 9, in which the phone sports five cameras. The promo video itself has a duration of two and a half minutes, and it will basically show you what the phone is expected to look like, as leaks influenced this design quite a bit, even though it’s a concept video.
Background: The Nokia 9 has been leaking for quite some time now, but in the last couple of weeks, we’ve started seeing leaks of the device with five cameras on the back. At first, those leaks seemed a bit unrealistic, but they just kept on coming, and at this point, it truly seems like HMD Global is planning to announce that device at some point. A recent report actually claimed that the Nokia 9 will not be announced this year, despite pretty much everyone expected it to, but who knows if that rumor is accurate or not. The Nokia 8 was announced back in September last year, so the Nokia 9 should, technically, become official in the near future. The Nokia 9, if rumors and leaks are accurate, will be a considerably different smartphone compared to the Nokia 8, at least in the design department.
Impact: As you can see in the provided video, this concept phone is made out of metal and glass, while it has really thin bezels above and below the display. Its rear-facing cameras and an LED flash are placed in a hexagon of sorts, with an additional camera included in the middle of all the others. ZEISS’ branding is mentioned here, while the phone’s display seems to be curved, which would not exactly be a surprise as the Nokia 8 Sirocco shipped with a curved display. It is worth keeping in mind this is just a concept smartphone, it is created by a third-party, and despite the fact it’s based on leaks, you should take this info with a grain of salt.
