LG Introduces Cine Shot Ahead Of V40 ThinQ Unveiling

In short: LG is going to be unveiling its latest flagship on Wednesday, October 3, but ahead of that big unveiling the company is announcing a camera feature that will be on the V40 ThinQ. And that is Cine Shot. This is a new camera mode that essentially allows one part of the shot to become a video, while the other part is a still. Likely the most common use for this is being able to shoot a video of a waterfall, but only having the waterfall moving while the rest of the video is a still image.

Background: The V-series from LG has always been geared towards creators, and with Cine Shot, we can see that it is continuing with the V40 ThinQ. Now while this might not be a feature that many would use for a Vlog or a YouTube video, it is a really cool feature that one could use to really show off different things in a video. Of course, it does still need the right subject and framing, but it can produce some really cool results. We did have a chance to use Cine Shot on the V40 ThinQ, and it is really easy to use and put together. The only big issue with Cine Shot is the fact that you can’t edit it after you’ve taken the shot. So you will need to decide which part you want to be a moving video before you begin shooting it.

Impact: While many are going to think of this as a new gimmick for the V40 ThinQ, which is fine, as most people likely won’t use the feature. But it is going to provide a new effect for taking videos on the LG V40 ThinQ, and it’ll be interesting to see what everyone does with Cine Shot on the V40 ThinQ. It’s currently unclear whether this will be coming to LG’s older smartphones like the LG G7 ThinQ and V35 ThinQ.
