In short: T-Mobile has announced that it will be selling the LG V40 ThinQ and all five of its cameras. The LG V40 ThinQ was announced today, and it will be going up for pre-orders next Friday, October 12. It will be available the following Friday, October 19. Like the other carriers, T-Mobile will only have the LG V40 ThinQ in black and blue colors. It will also support all of T-Mobile’s latest technologies being used on its network. This includes 600MHz support, 256 QAM, 4×4 MIMO and LAA. So not only is this going to be a great performing phone, but also a really fast one.
Background: The LG V40 ThinQ has five cameras, as all of the leaks suggested. It has three on the back – which consist of a wide-angle, regular and a telephoto lens. The front has a wide-angle and a regular lens. This is going to allow you to get the perfect shot, no matter how close or far from the subject you are. Internally, the LG V40 ThinQ sports a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. LG has also included a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ OLED display here, which is a big jump over the V30 that it released last year. There is also a 3300mAh capacity battery included, which LG says should get you through a full day.
Impact: T-Mobile is selling the LG V40 ThinQ for $200 down and $30 per month for 24 months. That comes out to $920 for the device. That is actually the cheapest full retail price of any carrier that is carrying the LG V40 ThinQ. LG is also offering a great promo for those that pre-order the device between October 12 and 19. That includes getting the DJI Osmo Mobile 2, and a SanDisk 256GB micro SD card for free. The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is a handheld gimbal for smartphones that will allow you to get some smooth shots without needing a full tripod, or a DSLR camera.
