The Samsung Galaxy S10 series is right at our doorstep, Samsung will announce its devices on February 20, and while we’re waiting for that to happen, a new Galaxy S10 concept design has just surfaced online, courtesy of YouTube channel Concept Creator.
In any case, this video has a duration of about three minutes, and it envisions the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ handsets, so not a full lineup of rumored Galaxy S10 phones. The video is actually narrated by another YouTuber, Jared Bursch, and he actually presents itself as a Samsung employee for the requirements of this video, as a presenter, if you will.
This design of the Galaxy S10 and S10+ is modeled by rumors and leaks, but it’s not entirely accurate, which is not surprising considering that this is a third-party concept design. It is pretty close though, just keep in mind that both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ will probably include three cameras on the back, the Galaxy S10+ probably won’t ship with four, as this video suggests… well, unless you consider the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10+, which probably won’t carry the Galaxy S10+ name, as rumors are hinting it will be called the Galaxy S10 X, more on that later though.
Other than the camera count, these concept designs are quite accurate, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ will be made out of metal and glass, both of them will ship with curved displays, while both of them will include a horizontally-aligned camera setups on the back. The Galaxy S10 will include a single camera on the front, while the Galaxy S10+ will ship with two selfie cameras, which is easily noticeable in this video, as those cameras are included in the display itself, and display holes are easily noticeable.
Expect everything in terms of specs, and then some
The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ will be quite similar in the spec department as well, at least if rumors are to be believed. Both devices will be fueled by either the Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 (depending on the market), while both will ship with Android 9 Pie, and Samsung’s Android overlay, One UI.
The Galaxy S10 is expected to sport a 6.1-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, curved display, while the Galaxy S10+ will include a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, curved display… at least if rumors are to be believed. The two devices will also ship with an in-display fingerprint scanner, and will support wireless charging. A recent leak even indicated that reverse wireless charging may be a part of the equation, something similar to what Huawei included in the Mate 20 Pro.
But wait, there’s more (variety)
In addition to the Galaxy S10 and S10+, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S10 E and S10 X. The Galaxy S10 E will be the most affordable variant of the Galaxy S10, it will include a flat display, two cameras on the back, and a 5.8-inch display. The Galaxy S10 X, on the other hand, will be the company’s 5G-supported smartphone, as per rumors. This device will include a ceramic backplate, a 6.7-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display which will be curved, and an in-display fingerprint scanner, just like the Galaxy S10 and S10+.
