HOMTOM’s budget C8 handset is now available for pre-order, the company has confirmed. The HOMTOM C8 can now be purchased from AliExpress for only $84.99, and if you purchase it, you will get a free silicone case, and a screen protector along with the device. We’re not sure if this same offer will be available once the pre-order period ends, but it is now, so if you’re planning to get the phone, acting fast may be a good idea. The HOMTOM C8 comes in three color variants, Twilight Black, Twilight Blue, and Gold. The first two variants are a gradient, the first one combines black and dark purple colors, while the second one utilizes blue and regular purple colors. The HOMTOM C8 actually looks rather nice, especially considering its price tag, as its bezels are not as thick as you’d expect them to be, this is a sub-$100 phone after all.
The device’s display does sport rounded corners, while the phone offers a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a facial scanning features as well. HOMTOM’s logo is included on the back of the phone, along with the device’s loudspeaker, and a dual camera setup. The phone’s rear-facing cameras are included in the top-left portion of the phone’s back side, right above the device’s LED flash. Those two cameras do protrude on the back a bit, though that’s normal for today’s smartphones.
The HOMTOM C8’s specs are not bad either, having its price tag in mind, of course. The phone features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 640) display, while it is fueled by the MediaTek MT6739 64-bit quad-core processor. The device includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). A 3,000mAh battery is also included in this package, as are two SIM card slots.
Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the HOMTOM C8, while you will find 13 and 2-megapixel cameras on the back of this phone. A single 8-megapixel camera can be found on the phone’s front side, while this handset does support 4G LTE connectivity (more info available via the link down below).
