Ulefone has decided to further promote its Armor X2 smartphone by comparing it to the Cubot KingKong smartphone. The company did not exactly release a new promo video in order to do this, but has instead linked a video from “KK GADGETS” YouTube channel which has both phones laid out side-by-side, and it also mentions some of their specifications, though this is not a full-fledged comparison as the video has a duration of only 15 seconds. Now, in terms of the design, neither of these two will win beauty pageants, as they are rugged phones, but the Ulefone Armor X2 does have thinner bezels, while it also has a larger display. Both of these devices are fueled by the MediaTek MT6580 64-bit quad-core processor, and both of them can take a beating, that’s for sure. Both of these phones also equip 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while you will also find an 8-megapixel camera on the front side of both of them. If you don’t need 4G LTE connectivity in your rugged phone, then you’ll be right at home here, as both of these come with 3G only. That is pretty much where the similarities end, though, as the Ulefone Armor X2 comes with a larger 5.5-inch HD display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio, while the Cubot KingKong features a 5-inch HD display with a regular 16:9 display aspect ratio.
The Ulefone Armor X2 also comes with 13 and 5-megapixel cameras on the back, while the Cubot KingKong has a single 13-megapixel camera on its back. THe Ulefone Armor X2 also comes with a larger battery, which is not surprising considering it has a larger display. The phone comes with a 5,500mAh battery, while the Cubot KingKong has a 4,400mAh battery on the inside. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Ulefone Armor X2, while you’ll find Android 7.0 Nougat on the Cubot KingKong. Having said that, these two phones offer similar price points, the Ulefone Armor X2 can be purchased for $99.99, while the Cubot KingKong costs $95.66.
