Ceramic Black Samsung Galaxy S10+ Likely Launching All Alone

Samsung Philippines’ pre-order page has seemingly revealed the release date for the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10+ model. According to the provided info, the Ceramic Black Galaxy S10+ will become available for purchase on March 15. Now, Samsung usually syncs up its launch dates for a number of regions, as part of the global launch of the device, so it’s quite possible that the device will launch in other regions on the same date, +/- one day due to a different timezone, of course.

Earlier rumors said that the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ will become available on March 8, after being up for pre-order for two weeks, considering that Samsung will announce them on February 20 in San Francisco, and open up pre-order after the launch, basically, or a day after, at the latest.

The top-of-the-line Galaxy S10+ variant, aka Ceramic Black Galaxy S10+, will be a bit different than the regular Galaxy S10+ unit. This variant of the device will not only support 5G, according to rumors, but it will also ship with a ceramic backplate and 1TB of storage. The phone will include more RAM than any other Galaxy S10 variant, as it will ship with 12GB of RAM on the inside. Those are pretty much all the differences between the regular and Ceramic Black Galaxy S10+ variants, while the Ceramic Black will also be more expensive, needless to say.

February 20 Unpacked Event

Samsung had already scheduled its February 20 Unpacked event which will be hosted in San Francisco, and at that event, the company will announce its entire Galaxy S10 series, for sure. It seems more and more likely that the Ceramic Black variant of the Galaxy S10+ will become available a bit later than the rest of the pack, but all variants will be showcased on February 20.

There is also a chance that Samsung may introduce its foldable smartphone during the event as well, some promo materials suggested it will happen, and even if it doesn’t, the company will probably mention it one way or the other. If the company does not announce its foldable phone on February 20, it probably will during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which kicks off soon after Samsung’s Unpacked event, only a couple of days after it.

Other Galaxy S10 Variants

Aside from the Ceramic Black Galaxy S10+, the company will also introduce the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ units. The Galaxy S10e will be the most affordable Galaxy S10 handset, and the only one to ship with a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a flat display. That phone will also include a smaller display than any other Galaxy S10 unit, as it will ship with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED panel, though we’re still not sure if it will include a fullHD+ or QHD+ display. The device will also be the only Galaxy S10 unit to include two cameras on the back.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ will ship with 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, curved displays, respectively, and both phones will include three cameras on the back. An in-display fingerprint scanner will be included in both of these phones, while both devices will be fueled by the Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 SoC, depending on where you buy them… that actually goes for every other Galaxy S10 variant, actually. All Galaxy S10 models (except the Ceramic Black variant) will ship with a glass back.
