Get A K-Pop Fortnite Skin When You Pre-Order Galaxy S10

With the Galaxy Note9 last fall, Samsung and Epic Games started a partnership which eventually brought Fortnite to Android. It also gave those that pre-ordered the Galaxy Note9 a special “Galaxy” skin for Fortnite. Now, that partnership is continuing with the Galaxy S10 line. Those that pre-order the Galaxy S10, S10+ or S10e will get a special K-Pop skin that is exclusive to the Galaxy S10 family of smartphones.

This new K-Popskin is modeled after Jung Chan-woo, who is a member of the South Korean boy band iKon.

It was initially thought that this skin would only be available for the Galaxy S10+, however, Samsung clarified that all Galaxy S10 models, including the less expensive and physically smaller Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e are also eligible for the exclusive skin. This is a similar promotion that Samsung ran with the Galaxy Note 9, which unlocked an exclusive skin for fans that played Fortnite on Samsung’s Fall 2018 flagship.

The Galaxy S10+ is the high-end of the three Galaxy S10 models announced by Samsung today. It sports a larger 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Curved AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Or there is a 12GB RAM model that comes with either 512GB or 1TB of storage. Fun fact, the 512GB and 1TB models actually come with a ceramic backplate, instead of a glass one. Making it feel more premium and less slippery.

Samsung’s next big thing is pretty big, and it also sports a larger battery, at 4,100mAh capacity. Which should keep that Galaxy S10+ going all day long, even after playing hours of Fortnite.

As was the case with the Galaxy Note9, Fortnite is not pre-installed on the Galaxy S10+. You will need to install it from the Galaxy Apps store, since it is not available in the Google Play Store. Remember, that if you see any Fortnite apps in the Google Play Store, they are not the real deal, and you should not download them. As they could be malicious and give your phone a virus or two.

Fortnite should work pretty well on the Galaxy S10+, particularly because of the Snapdragon 855 chipset and 8GB (or 12GB) of RAM inside. Samsung has optimized all of the Galaxy S10 models so that Fortnite will run well, and included some liquid cooling once again so that you won’t have to worry about any of Samsung’s Galaxy S10 phones overheating or exploding like a certain other Samsung smartphone did in the past.

Samsung is kicking off the Galaxy S10 pre-orders tomorrow, February 21. They will be available for pre-order for a few weeks before it launches officially on March 8. The Galaxy S10+, as well as the other Galaxy S10 family members, will be available from the four major US carriers. That includes AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon. It will also be available unlocked from Samsung’s own website. All of which also includes financing, so you won’t have to foot the entire $999 bill up-front. Instead you can spread it out over 24 or more months.
