HOMTOM is coming to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 in Barcelona, and the company is planning to announce the HOMTOM P1 and S88 smartphones there. HOMTOM actually opted to share some more info regarding these two devices, so read on if you’re interested.
The HOMTOM P1 Is A Projector Smartphone
The HOMTOM P1 is actually quite an interesting phone, as it doubles as a projector. The HOMTOM P1 is an HD (1280 x 720) LED DLP projector, which is embedded with OSRAM illumination and Texas Instruments DLP. This is a 150-lumen pico projector, and considering it’s a smartphone at the same time, carrying it around is not an issue. With the HOMTOM P1, you can actually have a portable projector with you at all times.
The company also mentioned that the device will include a large, 5,500mAh battery on the inside, and that the device will be able to charge other devices, so it will ship with the reverse charging function. That is all the info that HOMTOM shared regarding the P1, but the S88 is also quite an interesting device.
The HOMTOM S88 Sports A Hole-Punch Display
The HOMTOM S88 will be made out of metal and glass, while HOMTOM also shared an image of the device. As you can see, the phone will be available in both Blue and Red color variants, while it will sport a display camera hole. That hole will be centered at the top of the display, and the phone will include rounded corners.
We do not get to see the bottom of the device, but we’re presuming that a “chin” will be included below the display. A fingerprint scanner will sit on the back of this phone, along with a vertically-aligned dual camera setup, and an LED flash. The back side of the phone will be curved.
HOMTOM did not really want to share any spec info when it comes to the HOMTOM S88, but everything will be revealed in Barcelona. The company will be at MWC 2019 from February 25 to February 28, and you can visit it at booth No.7J17 if you’re there. It is quite possible that HOMTOM plans to bring some other devices to MWC 2019, some of its devices that were already announced, so that you can test them out on the spot. The company did not mention anything about that, however, so we’re not sure what else is in store for us. In any case, stay tuned.
