Specifications for iQOO’s very first smartphone have just surfaced on TENAA, as the device got certified in China. This phone will be flagship-grade, we already knew that it will be flagship-grade, and TENAA just revealed some more spec info.
The vivo V1824BA and vivo V1824A got listed on TENAA, and it’s not exactly surprising that iQOO’s phone hides behind these model numbers, as iQOO is Vivo’s company. iQOO was actually announced quite recently, as Vivo’s sub-brand, and it was revealed that the company will focus on the high-end market.
The device will feature a 6.41-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855. TENAA reports that the phone will arrive in three variants, with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB of RAM, respectively. The first variant will ship with 128GB of storage, while the second and third one will include 256GB of internal storage.
On the back, you will be able to find 13, 12, and 2-megapixel cameras, while a single camera will be placed on the device’s front side, a 12-megapixel unit. A 3,920mAh battery was also listed by TENAA.
It was revealed earlier that the phone will include 44W fast charging, and that an NFC chip will be a part of the package. In addition to that, previous teaser revealed that a Type-C port will be included on the bottom of the device, and that the phone will ship with “4D gaming experience” and support “Super HDR”.
In addition to TENAA certification, iQOO’s very first smartphone also appeared in an official teaser, as you can see in the provided image. Blue and Red color variants of the device are shown here, though only the back side of the device is pictured.
This image clearly shows three cameras on the back, all of which will protrude a bit. An LED flash will sit below those three cameras, and the fingerprint scanner is not visible here. The phone’s fingerprint scanner will probably sit below the display, and as you can see, all the physical keys will be placed on the right.
The phone’s SIM card tray will be accessible from the left, and an extra physical key will be included on that side, and that button will probably be remappable, but we’re only guessing at this point.
Earlier this month, iQOO had announced that its first smartphone / flagship will become official this Sprint. The company also shared a launch date, by saying that the announcement will take place on March 1.
The phone will be announced in China, and chances are it will become available in China first, though it’s quite possible that it will ship to other markets as well, as iQOO opened up social media channels all over the place.
We still do not know what will the front side of the phone look like, as that part of the device still did not surface, but it’s quite likely that it will either include a teardrop notch, or a display camera hole, as that seems to be the trend these days. The phone’s price tag is also unknown at the moment, but it’s possible iQOO will be quite aggressive when it comes to pricing.
