LG Unveils Q60, K40 & K50 With DTS:X 3D Surround Sound

LG has just announced three new budget smartphones which will be showcased at MWC 2019, the LG Q60, K40, and K50. LG says that these phones “boast premium features” and “stylish design”, while they will not cost you all that much. Speaking of which, the company did not say how much will the three phones cost, but it did share their designs and spec sheets.

LG Q60

The LG Q60 is made out of metal and glass, while the phone comes with three horizontally-aligned cameras on the back. Next to those three cameras, you will notice an LED flash, while a fingerprint scanner is located below them. LG’s branding is included on the back of this phone as well, while the phone’s power / lock key is located on the right.

n the left-hand side of the LG Q60, you will notice the phone’s volume up and down buttons, along with a physical key for the Google Assistant. The LG Q60 features a teardrop notch at the top of the display, while its earpiece is located right above it. The device does have a chin below the display, and it’s not the thinnest around.

The phone features a 6.26-inch HD+ FullVision display with a 19:9 display aspect ratio, while the phone also packs in 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 2TB). The device comes with a 3,500mAh battery, and it supports 4G LTE connectivity. LG also mentions that the device is fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, quite probably one of Qualcomm’s chips.

On the back of the phone, you will be able to find 16-megapixel (PDAF), 2-megapixel (depth sensor), and 5-megapixel (super wide angle lens) cameras, while a 13-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the phone. The DTS:X 3D Surround Sound is a part of the package as well, while the phone is MIL-STD-810G compliant. The phone measures 161.3 x 77 x 8.7mm.

LG K40

The LG K40 comes with a single camera on the back, while an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner are also located on the back of the device. The phone has the same physical button setup as the LG Q60, while it sports bezels above and below the display, this phone does not come with a notch, a display hole, or anything of the sort.

The LG K40 is also fueled by an octa-core SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, while it features a 5.7-inch HD+ FullVision display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. This phone will ship with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable up to 2TB), while a 3,000mAh battery will also be a part of the mix.

A 16-megapixel (PDAF) camera is included on the back of the phone, while an 8-megapixel camera sits on its front side. The phone supports 4G LTE, it is MIL-STD-810G compliant as well, while it measures 153 x 71.9 x 8.3mm.

LG K50

This handset comes with a teardrop notch, while it has a rather thick chin below the display. Two horizontally-aligned cameras are placed on its back, along with an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner, while LG’s branding is in the same place as on the other two devices.

The LG K50 also comes with an unnamed octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, while this phone features a 6.26-inch HD+ FullVision display with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. The phone includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage (expandable up to 2TB). A 3,500mAh battery is included in the package.

13-megapixel and 2-megapixel (depth sensor) cameras sit on the back of this phone, while a 13-megapixel unit is included on its front side. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, comes with DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, and is MIL-STD-810G compliant like its siblings. The LG K50 measures 161.3 x 77 x 8.7mm.
