Samsung will introduce its Galaxy S10 series of phones later this month, and while we’re waiting for that to happen, a new image of the Galaxy S10 has surfaced, this time the phone appeared in its Pearl White color. As you can see, this is a real-life image of the phone, and it shows us only a piece of its back side, including its horizontally-aligned triple camera setup, LED flash, and what seems to be a heart rate sensor next to it.
This image basically reveals that the phone’s rear-facing camera setup will protrude a bit, though that was to be expected, as it’s really difficult to find a modern flagship that does not have a camera bump on the back, basically every single one of them does. You can clearly see, in the provided image, that glass is included on the back of the device, and a part of Samsung’s logo is also visible on the back. The back side is slightly curved, while the phone’s frame will be metal-made.
Galaxy S10 Variants & Design Differences
The phone that is shown in the provided image is the Galaxy S10, but the Galaxy S10+ will have that very same camera setup on the back, and aside from the size difference, it will look identical to the S10 from the back. The only difference between these two phones, when it comes to the design, will be visible on the front, as the Galaxy S10 will include a single selfie camera, while the Galaxy S10+ will ship with two of them. That difference will be quite visible as all of those cameras will be placed in the display, so a cutout will be necessary.
Now, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are not the only variants that Samsung will introduce, it seems, as the Galaxy S10e and S10 X aka 5G-enabled Galaxy S10 will also be announced by the company. The Galaxy S10e will resemble the Galaxy S10, but it will not sport a curved display on the front, but a flat one, and instead of three cameras on the back, it will ship with two horizontally-aligned cameras. On top of that, the device is expected to sport a side-facing fingerprint scanner, instead of an in-display one.
The 5G-enabled Galaxy S10 is also referred to as the Galaxy S10 X and the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10+. The device will ship with a ceramic backplate, support 5G, and it will look like the Galaxy S10+, though it may include four cameras on the back, instead of the three that are included on the Galaxy S10+, we’ll see.
Specifications & Release Date
The Galaxy S10e will be the most affordable Galaxy S10 unit, and it is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch fullHD+ or QHD+ Super AMOLED, flat display. The phone is also said to include 6GB of RAM, and it will ship with Android 9 Pie, and Samsung’s One UI overlay, like every other Galaxy S10 variant.
The Galaxy S10 is said to sport a 6.1-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, curved display, 6GB / 8GB of RAM, and 128GB / 512GB of internal storage. The Galaxy S10+, on the other hand, will include a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED, curved display, 6GB / 8GB / 10GB of RAM, and 128GB / 512GB / 1TB of storage, at least if rumored info is to be believed.
Samsung will introduce its Galaxy S10 series of devices on February 20, during its Unpacked event in San Francisco. The Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ will be announced, though it remains to be seen if the 5G-enabled Galaxy S10+ model will be in the lineup. In any case, that variant of the device will probably go on sale a bit later on.
