It's Official, Samsung Confirms Galaxy S10e, S10 & S10+ Names

Samsung has just confirmed the names of its upcoming Galaxy S10 series handsets. The information surfaced on Samsung France website, and it confirms that the upcoming devices will be called the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+. This was pretty much a given already, but it’s now official. That is pretty much all the information that Samsung shared.

Samsung France may not have provided us with extra info on the Galaxy S10 series, but a ton of information leaked thus far, as we pretty much already know what all the phones will look like, and what specifications can we expect to see. The only question at this point is whether the 5G-enabled Galaxy S10+ will make an appearance at the company’s press conference on February 20 in San Francisco, but all the other variants will be announced.

Galaxy S10 Series Design

All Galaxy S10 smartphones will look quite similar in comparison, but there will be some difference between them in terms of the design. The Galaxy S10e will be the only Galaxy S10 smartphone to sport two cameras on the back, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a flat display. The phone will be made out of metal and glass, though, as all the other Galaxy S10 units (save for the Ceramic Black Galaxy S10+ variant). It will include two cameras on the back, and one in-display camera, which will be located in the top-right portion of its display.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ will both ship with three cameras on the back, while both of them will include curved displays, and in-display fingerprint scanners. The Galaxy S10 will, much like the Galaxy S10e, sport a single front-facing camera, while the Galaxy S10+ will include two cameras in its display.

Galaxy S10 Series Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S10e will include a 5.8-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display, which will be flat, according to leaks. The phone will be available in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, while 12 and 16-megapixel cameras will sit on its back. The device will include a 10-megapixel camera on the front, and a 3,100mAh battery.

The Galaxy S10, on the other hand, is said to ship with a 6.1-inch QHD+ AMOLED display (curved), 6GB / 8GB of RAM and a 3,400mAh battery. The device will also be available in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants, while it will incorporate two 12-megapixel cameras, and one 16-megapixel camera on the back. On the front, however, it will sport the same camera sensor as the Galaxy S10e.

The Galaxy S10+ will be the most powerful Galaxy S10 variant. This handset will sport a 6.3-inch QHD+ AMOLED display (curved), along with 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The 12GB RAM variant will include a ceramic backplate, and it may ship with 5G support, it remains to be seen. The phone will sport a 4,100mAh battery, and the same back camera setup as the Galaxy S10. On the front side, it will include 10 and 8-megapixel cameras.

Along with the Galaxy S10 series, Samsung may announce its foldable smartphone on February 20, but that’s not as likely. We did see some teasers that suggest a foldable phone may arrive during that event, but it’s more likely that Samsung will mention it in some capacity, but not announce it.
