The Ulefone Armor 6 is the company’s latest rugged handset in the “Armor” series and the company has been intensively promoting the phone ever since it was announced. IP68/IP69K & MIL-STD-810G Certifications
The Ulefone Armor 6 is both IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810G certified. In translation, that means that the phone is not only both water and dust resistant, but it can also take a hit without a problem. If it’s raining, or you drop your phone in a puddle, you don’t have to worry about anything, and the phone should also be fine if you accidentally drop it while walking or something of the sort. Ulefone actually torture-tested the Armor 6 not long ago in order to prove how durable it is, and even though none of those tests are recommended to be conducted at home, the Armor 6 did great.
Rugged & Yet Nice-Looking Design
The Ulefone Armor 6 is a rugged phone, that much becomes obvious the moment you lay your eyes on the phone, but its bezels are thinner than on most other rugged smartphones, plus the phone does not look bad at all. The device is actually noticeably slimmer than regular rugged smartphones, and it will offer you plenty of grip while you’re using it. On top of everything, this phone also supports wireless charging, which is interesting for a rugged phone. It actually almost seems like Ulefone tried to combine rugged and a rugged phone here.
Its Display
The Ulefone Armor 6 comes with a large 6.2-inch fullHD+ display which offers a 19:9 display aspect ratio. The Armor 6 is not the narrowest phone out there, but it’s not as wide as some other offerings with similar display size. Its tall display aspect ratio definitely helps with that, and if you like big display phones, this one will probably be good enough. Ulefone is using an LCD panel here, but the display itself is not bad at all.
A Rather Capable Processor
Ulefone included the Helio P60 64-bit 12nm octa-core processor inside the Armor 6, which is MediaTek’s mid-range processor. This chip is a solid performer, there’s no doubt about that, and chances are that most of you won’t have issues with it. It can also handle some gaming as well, while it should perform really well in day-to-day scenarios.
Big Battery
The Ulefone Armor 6 comes with a large 5,000mAh battery which is not removable. Considering that the phone sports a 6.2-inch fullHD+ display, power efficient SoC, and that its software is not heavy, this battery should be more than enough even for heavy users. The phone supports 18W fast charging, and 10W wireless charging, while the company claims that the phone will last you 440 hours on standby, and can provide 25 hours of talk time.
Its Dual Camera Setup
The Ulefone Armor 6 includes two cameras on the back, and those are the cameras Ulefone wanted to emphasize. The company claims that the Armor 6 is capable of shooting some really solid images, especially for its price range. The phone’s software can, allegedly, keep the noise out of the pictures, for the most part, though the phone is probably not the best shooter in low light. You need to manage your expectations here, as cameras are not the main focus of the Armor 6.
Global Network Bands
The Ulefone Armor 6 supports global network bands for 4G LTE, and it will work well with most networks out there. It supports 6 connection types and 31 frequency bands, while Ulefone claims that is enough to cover 90-percent of the world’s carriers.
