Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest Android Pre-Registration Now Available

Prepare to step into the Warhammer universe yet again, as Tilting Point’s new massively multiplayer strategy game, Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest – Build Your Warband, places you in the role of a master strategist looking to put together a Chaos Warband to help him overthrow Altdorf and become Everchosen. In this play-as-the-villain game, you’ll not only smack down heroes and gods, but also compete against other Chaos warriors and their warbands in your quest to become the one and only Everchosen.

The core strategy gameplay is definitely meant for the long game. Starting out with nothing, you’ll get a warband together to plunder resources and begin expanding your operations and building a fortress. Eventually, you’ll be looking to rise above other Chaos Warbands, conquer the Empire of Man, and strike down the gods as you search for ever-greater power and influence.

Upgrading your fortress’ facilities is just as important as upgrading the army that resides in it, and there are a multitude of ways to do it. You can build and upgrade all kinds of additions to your fortress, such as Hell Cannons, Dungeons, Daemonic Forges, and Chaos Temples, among others. These will not only bolster your ability to raise and control a vast, powerful army, but will also help keep your ill-gotten gains and units in your fortress safe from other players.

In order to do all this, you’ll recruit a range of units, including powerful warlords. There are also 20 Daemons of Chaos that you can get on your team, and 10 Warriors of Chaos. With the relatively limited range of high-level unit options, competing in higher echelons will come down to optimization and spontaneity, rather than who has what powerful units.

Finally, outside of your main campaign of conquest, you can also send troops out on marches to collect resources, have them pillage other Chaos Warbands’ fortresses to hinder other players’ progress, research  new skills, and collect resources by upgrading production facilities like slaughterhouses and lumber mills. There are also daily missions to help keep you on track.

For those that are still on the fence about pre-registering, it’s worth noting that there are rewards involved. While most games that offer any kind of pre-registration reward usually lean toward a tiered system that depends on the number of pre-registrations made, this one is different. Instead, all players who pre-register will get a special beginner’s pack.

The Warhammer fantasy property is an extremely popular setting for strategy games on the mobile scene, and rightly so. One of the unique things about the Warhammer fantasy universe is that it’s rife with villains.

Unlike most fantasy properties, where a land may only be besieged by one or two major evil entities at a time, Warhammer is chock full of evil rulers, all competing for resources and jockeying for rank among themselves amid a colossal war. That particular facet of Warhammer is exactly what this game plays to, and it does so beautifully.

Strategy MMOs have been around for a very long time, but when the genre made its inevitable jump to mobile, it seemed like shallow experiences centered on city-building were going to be the order of the day. Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest is a welcome twist on that tired trope.

That’s not to say that there haven’t been good, expansive, and complex strategy MMOs on mobile in the past. That’s also not to say that this one is terribly special. It’s simply a great premise set in a universe that works well for it, and hopefully, that will mean that the final game, when it’s released, will be a good one. Those ready to pre-register can do so here.
