Industry insider Ice Universe recently revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note10 will likely feature a larger camera sensor size compared to previous smartphones released by the South Korean tech giant.
While the insider did not provide additional details about the camera sensors that the upcoming handset will sport, this information suggests that the Galaxy Note10 may offer improved image quality, which is to be expected either way.
Increasing the amount of light detected by the sensor should help enhance the low-light performance and dynamic range as well as reduce the noise in the images produced by the handset, presuming that the software side of things is handled properly, of course.
Even though it may take several more months until Samsung unveils the latest addition to the Galaxy Note lineup, several leaks already supplied some details about the handset. One recent rumor suggests that the Galaxy Note10 will sport four rear cameras, similar to the setup found in the Galaxy S10 5G. However, this latest leak suggests that despite the similarity in the number of rear shooters, the sensors that comprise these cameras may differ between the two handsets.
Meanwhile, the model number of the Galaxy Note10 suggests that there will likely be 5G and LTE-only variants of the smartphone. Just like the Galaxy S10 5G, there could be other hardware features that differentiate the 5G variant of the Galaxy Note 10 from its LTE-only variant aside from the support for next-generation networks.
Based on the trends seen in previous Galaxy Note handsets, the Galaxy Note10 will likely share similar hardware internals with Galaxy S10. A variant of the smartphone that will ship to the United States may sport the Snapdragon 855 SoC, while the model of the handset that will become available in other parts of the world may feature the Exynos 9820 chipset.
On the other hand, the display of the Galaxy Note10 will feature a 6.66-inch display according to an early rumor, which is interestingly smaller than the panel included with the Galaxy S10 5G. The handset may also sport an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underneath the Dynamic AMOLED display.
Like earlier Galaxy Note handsets, the upcoming device will likely sport the S-Pen Stylus, and the Galaxy Note10 will come with applications that take advantage of the stylus, which include Samsung Notes, Smart select, and Screen write.
The S-Pen included in the Galaxy Note9 featured a supercapacitor and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing the stylus to work as a remote for several applications, including the Camera app, Google Chrome, and Hancom Office Editor. It is likely that the stylus included with the Galaxy Note 10 will ship with the same functionalities, along with other improvements that the tech giant will include into the writing instrument.
Given Samsung’s yearly launch schedule, the South Korean tech giant will likely announce the Galaxy Note10 in August prior to IFA in Berlin. However, more leaks and teasers surrounding the handset will become available as the launch date draws near. Nonetheless, the predictability of smartphones, which often carry on the technologies and design languages found in previous products released by their manufacturers, gives consumers an early idea on what to expect with the upcoming handsets like the Galaxy Note10.
