Rejoice: Some Samsung Galaxy S10 Pre-Orders Shipping Out Early

It seems like some Samsung Galaxy S10 series pre-orders are already shipping out, ahead of schedule. The company originally promised that the Galaxy S10 series pre-order will arrive by March 8, but shipping notifications for some pre-orders are already going out, which means they will arrive ahead of schedule.

According to reports submitted by users on Reddit, the very first Galaxy S10 units are expected to arrive sometime today. This is not limited to carrier-locked or unlocked units, as some units from both groups seem to have shipped already, and that goes for all three Galaxy S10 variants, the Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+.

The very first delivery dates are set for today, March 5, that goes for expedited shipping, while March 6 is listed for some other units. That means that some of you who pre-ordered a Galaxy S10 variant could receive it a couple of days ahead of schedule, which is a surprise for sure, but a pleasant one.

As probably all of you know by now, Samsung had recently introduced its Galaxy S10 series. The company actually introduced the Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+, and S10 5G during its February 20 event in San Francisco, right before the MWC 2019 kicked off. The Galaxy S10 5G is not yet available, it will be at a later date, but all the other units are up for sale… well, for pre-orders still, technically.

The Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+ are quite similar in terms of the design, and even internals, but there are some differences between these phones. The Galaxy S10e is the most affordable Galaxy S10 unit, and also the smallest. This is the only Galaxy S10 handset that sports a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a flat display, same goes for its rear-facing cameras, as it is the only one to ship with two cameras on the back. The phone is made out of metal and glass, like all the rest, and it is fueled by the same processor as all the other Galaxy S10 smartphones, the Exynos 9820 in Europe and India, while the Snapdragon 855 fuels the device in the US and China.

The Galaxy S10 and S10+ sport curved displays, unlike the Galaxy S10e, they come with 6.1 and 6.4-inch panels, compared to a 5.8-inch display on the Galaxy S10e. These two phones both include an in-display fingerprint scanner, and both ship with QHD+ displays, compared to a fullHD+ panel in the Galaxy S10e. The Galaxy S10 sports a single front-facing camera, just like the Galaxy S10e, while the Galaxy S10+ comes with two front-facing cameras. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on all Galaxy S10 smartphones, and on top of it you’re getting Samsung’s brand new Android overlay called “One UI”.

The Galaxy S10 series pricing starts with the Galaxy S10e at $749.99, while the most expensive variant of the Galaxy S10+ is priced at $1,599.99. There are quite a few variants in between these two that you may be interested in, but as you can see, there’s quite a difference between the most affordable, and the most expensive Galaxy S10-branded handset. These are prices for the US, your mileage may vary.
