The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro flagships had been introduced a couple of days ago, and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro concept has already surfaced. This concept design appeared on the Science and Knowledge YouTube channel, in a video that has a duration of four minutes. That video is embedded down below if you’d like to check out the design.
It is worth saying that this is just an imaginary smartphone by a third-party designer, not a leak or anything of the sort. The device looks quite a bit different than both the Mate 20 and P30 series of smartphones, it actually seems like a blend between the Mate 20, Galaxy S10, and the HONOR View20.
This phone seems to be made out of metal and glass, and it is pictured in several color variants in the provided video, including Blue, Black, and Pink models. The display on the device is curved, and instead of a notch that was present on both the Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro, this concept phone sports a tiny display camera hole in the top-right corner.
The phone’s “chin” is basically non-existent, while the back side of the device is also curved. This phone includes five cameras on the back, and they’re all horizontally aligned, similar to the Galaxy S10’s setup. Leica branding is present on the back of this concept phone, as is Huawei’s branding, of course. All of the phone’s physical keys are placed on the right, while the source also shared some spec info to go along with this concept phone.
The source envisioned a 6.39-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) Super AMOLED display for this handset, along with Android 9 Pie with Emotion UI (EMUI) 9. The Kirin 990 fuels this imaginary phone, while the device comes with IP68 certification as well. The designer also says that the phone sports 10GB / 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GGB / 1TB of storage.
A Type-C port sits on the bottom of the phone, while the designer says that a full screen in-display fingerprint scanner is also included here, so it doesn’t really matter where you put your finger, the phone will recognize it. A 4,200mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this imaginary package, and it supports fast charging, fast wireless charging, and reverse charging.
That is pretty much it as far as this imaginary phone is concerned. Those of you who are wondering when is an actual Mate 30 Pro coming, well, the company’s official confirmed yesterday that it will launch in either September or October, and that the company is already testing the device.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro may actually be fueled by the rumored Kirin 985 64-bit octa-core processor, not the Kirin 990, but we’ll see. The phone will probably resemble the Huawei P30 Pro to a degree, though Huawei may opt to replace that dewdrop notch with a display camera hole similar to the one shown in this concept video. There is still plenty of time before the phone arrives, and proper rumors and leaks probably won’t start coming in for another couple of months.
