The Huawei P30 Pro is a week from being announced, and the device has just appeared out in the wild. Four images of the alleged Huawei P30 Pro have appeared in China, and have been shared by CNMO, a Chinese publication, though the publication notes that images were taken from Weibo.
In the first image down below, you will notice the device itself and what seems to be its screen protector on the side. A tiny notch is visible here, as is the area where you need to put your finger in order to unlock the phone, as the device will include an in-display fingerprint scanner. You can also get a glimpse of the phone’s curved display in this image, and also the device’s physical keys on the right, its volume up, volume down, and power / lock buttons.
The rest of the images in the gallery will show you the device with a display powered on, though the last two hide the phone’s design with a heavy-duty case. If you take a look at the second image, though, you will be able to see the phone’s thin bezel on the bottom, and how thin that display notch really is, same goes for its side bezels. The device does seem to be quite tall, due to a narrow display aspect ratio.
The design of the Huawei P30 Pro is not really a secret, but this is the most detailed real-life leak of the device that we’ve seen thus far. The Huawei P30 Pro did surface in a number of renders thus far, though, along with its sibling, the Huawei P30. Both of those phones will be announced on March 26 in Paris, along with the Huawei P30 Lite, Huawei’s upcoming mid-ranger. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be the company’s brand new flagship offerings.
The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be quite similar, both in terms of the design and specifications, but not identical. The Huawei P30 will be smaller and sport a flat display, while the P30 Pro will be a larger phone and include a curved display. The P30 Pro will also include a more capable camera setup on the back, including a 10x hybrid (optical) zoom as well. Both phones will ship with three cameras on the back, though, and Leica’s lenses on top of them.
Both the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will be fueled by the same processor, the Kirin 980, Huawei’s flagship processor which fuels the Mate 20 flagship series of phones. Both devices will ship with Android 9 Pie, along with EMIUI 9.1 skin. The Huawei P30 will include a 6.1-inch fullHD+ OLED display, while its larger sibling will ship with a 6.47-inch fullHD+ OLED panel. The smaller P30 flagship will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the larger one will sport 8GB of RAM and arrive in 128GB, 256GB, and 256GB storage variants.
A 32-megapixel camera will be included on the front side of both devices, while the P30 and P30 Pro will sport 3,650mAh and 4,200mAh battery packs, respectively. The Huawei P30 will ship with 40, 16, and 8-megapixel cameras, without the 10x hybrid zoom, while the P30 Pro will include 40, 20, and 8-megapixel units. Both devices will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, while both will offer Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging as well.
