The OPPO Reno flagship has been popping up for a while now, and following the phone’s renders and hands-on video which surfaced yesterday, now we get to take a look at the device’s partial spec sheet, as the phone appeared in Master Lu’s benchmarking tool.
According to the info provided by the source, the OPPO Reno will feature a fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) display, while it will also include 8GB of RAM. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 64-bit octa-core processor, at least the high-end variant that got benchmarked here.
The source claims that the CPH1919 model is the flagship OPPO Reno model, which is in line with recent rumors. Having said that, recent rumors did mention that this variant of the device will include a 6.65-inch display, though it remains to be seen how accurate is that info. The OPPO Reno flagship managed to hit 389,386 points in Master Lu’s benchmark, overall.
The OPPO Reno surfaced a couple of times thus far, though its selfie camera setup did not appear until yesterday. Yesterday’s renders and hands-on video revealed that the OPPO Reno will have a rather odd selfie camera setup, a triangle-shaped pop-up camera setup. When you call upon the phone’s selfie camera via the app, that camera will appear from the top of the phone along with an LED flash, but not as it would on the Vivo NEX, or anything of the sort, as only one side of the whole unit up top will surface, while the other one will remain placed inside of the phone, and when it does that, it looks like a triangle.
The phone itself will not sport display notches or holes, it will essentially be bezel-less, with a really thin “chin” below the display. The phone’s display will feature rounded corners, while two cameras will be placed on the back of this phone. The device itself will be made out of metal and glass.
A 16-megapixel camera is said to be included on the phone’s front side, when called upon, while 48-megapixel (Sony’s IMX586 sensor), 8-megapixel, and 13-megapixel cameras will be placed on the back of the OPPO Reno. This handset is said to support 10x hybrid zoom that OPPO demoed at MWC 2019, while a 4,065mAh battery is also said to be a part of the package, along with OPPO’s VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The device is said to ship in four color variants, Midnight Black, Sea Green, Nebula Purple, and Pink.
OPPO is also planning to announce a mid-range Reno-branded smartphone, and if TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) is to be believed, that phone will include a 6.4-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 710 64-bit octa-core processor, and it will arrive in both 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.
The mid-range Reno handset will sport 48-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras on the back, while a single 16-megapixel unit will be placed on its front side. A 3,680mAh battery is said to be included in the package, while the device will ship with Android 9 Pie and ColorOS 6.0.
