T-Mobile Customers Will Continue Getting MLB.TV Free For Next Four Years

T-Mobile and the MLB announced today that it has renewed its agreement for another four years. For customers, that means that they will continue to receive MLB.TV for free for the next four seasons, and some added freebies during All-Star weekend and the rest of the season.

As the Official Wireless Sponsor of the MLB, T-Mobile customers benefit greatly. Starting March 26, customers will be able to get a year of MLB.TV for free. Which will allow customers to watch all of the games this season for free on their smartphone. It not only includes the app, but also all of the premium features. This app is typically priced at $118.99 for the season. So it’s a nice freebie for those that are baseball fans.

In a prepared statement, T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere stated that customers love baseball, “they streamed nearly 3 million hours of baseball with MLB.TV in 2018”. Legere continued by stating that it was nearly two times more than the year before. He also stated that “we’re excited to keep connecting with fans through the game we all love and show our support in even more ways – starting with Little League.”

Starting on March 26, for T-Mobile Tuesdays, T-Mobile customers will be able to sign up for MLB.TV within the app. It will be available until April 1, so make sure you sign up before it’s too late. Those that sign up on March 26, will be eligible for a VIP trip to select events during All-Star Week in Cleveland this year. T-Mobile also states that its customers can look forward to “a national MLB ticketing program featuring special offers to their favorite ballparks coming to T-Mobile Tuesdays this season.”

T-Mobile has been partnering with MLB in the past few years, as a way to not only get their name out there and gain more customers, but also offer some rather unique perks to their current customers. While other carriers are sponsors for other sports leagues – like Verizon and the NFL – only T-Mobile offers these perks to their customers. With Verizon, you can watch NFL games on your phone, and you can win a trip to the Super Bowl. But those perks do pail in comparison to what T-Mobile offers its customers with MLB.

Major League Baseball’s opening day is fast approaching. It starts on March 28, which is just over a week away. All thirty MLB teams will be playing that day, and it’ll be interesting to see who starts off the 162-game season with a win. Many of the Northern teams that are playing at home, will be getting a rest day in the middle of the first series. The reason for this is because of the weather. It is still March, which means Snow and Rain are possible. And the last thing you want to do is start the season off with a cancelled game to be played at the end of the year, nearly five months later.

T-Mobile customers that are also baseball fans are going to love this extended partnership with the MLB. Make sure to get your free year of MLB.TV starting next Tuesday, March 26.
