The Google Pixel 3a (sargo) and Pixel 3a XL (bonito) have appeared on the Google Play Developer Console. Truth be said, only their codenames, “sargo” and “bonito” surfaced, but considering how many times those two devices leaked attached to the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL names, it’s safe to assume those will be their names.
We’ll talk more about those listings in a moment, but that’s not the only place that the Pixel 3a appeared. The Google Store actually received a partial facelift, and tapping the “Phone” option in the app bar opens a list that reveals the Pixel 3a name along with a “NEW” label. The Pixel 3a case is also mentioned in the “Accessories” section, and it seems to be a fabric case.
The refreshed Google Store also reveals the “Google Next Hub Max” in the “Connected Home” section, and the “Google Next Hub” which seems to be a rebrand of the “Google Home Hub”. The Google Next Hub Max actually leaked a while back, and according to that info, the device will include a 10-inch HD display, and stereo speakers. Nest Cam will also be built in.
As you can see, several devices got basically confirmed by the Google Play Developer Console and the refreshed Google Store. Now, the Google Play Developer Console actually did not only reveal “sargo” and “bonito” device names, but it also shared some specifications when it comes to these two devices.
According to the provided info, the Google “sargo” aka Pixel 3a will feature a fullHD+ (2220 x 1080) display, which will measure approximately 5.6 inches in diagonal. Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the phone, while the device will include 4GB of RAM. The Google “bonito” aka Pixel 3a XL, is listed with 4GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie as well, but with a larger display, a 6-inch (approximately) panel with fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) resolution.
More info regarding the Pixel 3a & 3a XL
That’s pretty much all the new info that surfaced, but some additional specs leaked a while back. If that info is to be believed, both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will include OLED panels, but will include different display aspect ratios. The Pixel 3a is said to ship with an 18.5:9 display aspect ratio, while the Pixel 3a XL will include a display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio.
The Pixel 3a is rumored to be fueled by the Snapdragon 670 64-bit octa-core processor, while the Pixel 3a XL will include a more powerful Snapdragon 710 64-bit octa-core processor. Both of these chips are mid-range offerings by Qualcomm, but the Snapdragon 710 is considerably newer, and more powerful.
The two devices will arrive with 32GB / 64GB of storage, while a 12.2-megapixel camera is expected to be included on the back of both phones, the same sensor that sits on the back of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. An 8-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera is expected to be included on the front side of both phones, while Bluetooth 5 LE will also be included in the package. Both phones were rumored to arrive in early Spring, and if that info is accurate, both phones will arrive really soon.
