OnePlus has basically confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will ship with three cameras on the back. The company confirmed that info via an official teaser shared on Twitter. This time around, the company shared a short video in which it shows a sketch of a phone with three cameras, and the “OnePlus7Pro” hashtag has been attached to that post as well.
The company showed off a phone with three vertically-aligned cameras, just like various leaks suggested. OnePlus’ logo will sit below those three cameras, and the triple camera setup will protrude on the back a bit.
For those of you who are not in the loop, OnePlus had recently confirmed that the OnePlus 7 series will become official on May 14. If rumors are to be believed, the company is planning to announce three smartphones during that event, the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.
Considering that the company is already using the OnePlus 7 Pro name to tease the upcoming event, it’s safe to say that both the regular OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will arrive, while the 5G version is also expected, but we’ll see.
According to the info that we have thus far, the OnePlus 7 will resemble the OnePlus 6T quite a bit. The phone will basically look identical to the OnePlus 6T safe for one detail, the placement of an LED flash. The device will include a teardrop notch, and it will ship with the same display size as the OnePlus 6T, a 6.41-inch fullHD+ panel.
Unlike the OnePlus 7 Pro, the OnePlus 7 is expected to include two cameras on the back, and 20W fast wired charging. The phone will become available in both 6GB and 8GB RAM models if rumors are to be believed, while it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 64-bit octa-core processor, just like the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to ship with a larger display than the OnePlus 7, while it will also not sport a display notch or display cutout. The phone is expected to include a pop-up camera, and its display will be curved. The OnePlus 7 Pro is actually expected to pack in a QHD+ OLED panel, which will also boast 90Hz refresh rate.
The “Pro” version of the OnePlus 7 will be fueled by the same SoC as the regular variant, while it is expected to include a larger battery than the OnePlus 7. The OnePlus 7 Pro will also include faster charging than the OnePlus 7, it will ship with OnePlus’ 30W Warp Charge, while wireless charging will not be included in the package.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is also rumored to become the very first OnePlus-branded smartphone to include stereo speakers, while it seems like a 3.5mm headphone jack will not be included here, once again. It remains to be seen whether an official IP rating will be announced or not, while the phone almost certainly will not support wireless charging, as OnePlus finds it to be inefficient and slow at the moment.
