The Samsung Galaxy Note10 is not scheduled to arrive for another couple of months, and yet we’ve already seen some rumors regarding the device. Well, a well-known tipster, Ice Universe, has just shared some additional info via Twitter.
He said that the phone will sport a different front-facing position and a different rear camera position. In the comments of that tweet, he clarified that the phone will include vertically-aligned cameras on the back (different to the Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy S10 series), while we still do not know what he meant by a “different front camera position”.
This actually suggests that the company plans to keep the display camera hole from the Galaxy S10 series, but that it will not be located in the top-right corner. This means that the company will either move it in the top-left corner of the display, or plans to center it at the very top of the display.
The tipster also said that the Galaxy Note10 series will include UFS 3.0 flash storage, which was to be expected. It was kind of surprising Samsung did not include UFS 3.0 in the Galaxy S10 series, but there you have it, the Galaxy Note10 series will have it, it seems.
The Galaxy Fold was actually supposed to be the very first smartphone to ship with UFS 3.0, but considering that the device got postponed due to screen issues, the OnePlus 7 series managed to bring UFS 3.0 to the market first.
Interestingly enough, the tipster also confirmed that the phone will include “the same camera hardware” by responding to a comment from another user. This is a bit odd, as it was tipped earlier that the Galaxy Note10 series will include a larger sensor compared to the Galaxy S10 series. Samsung has a habit of keeping the same camera hardware (as the one used in the Galaxy S series) for the Galaxy Note series of devices, though, so that would not be all that surprising.
That is pretty much all the info that the source shared, but it seems like the Galaxy Note10 will be a bit different than the Galaxy S10 in terms of the design, just to make it recognizable. Different camera orientation on the back, and a different camera placement on the front will do the job.
Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce two different Galaxy Note10 handsets this year, the Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10 Pro. Both of those devices are rumored to ship in 4G and 5G variants, and are rumored to arrive in August, a year after the Galaxy Note9.
The Galaxy Note10 series phones will probably arrive in both Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855 variants, same as the Galaxy S10 series, depending on where you buy them. New and improved S Pen stylus will be included in the package, and chances are that both devices will be made out of metal and glass. The Galaxy Note10 series is expected to sport a curved display, though there is a chance that only the “Pro” model will include such a panel, while Samsung may opt for a flat display for the regular Galaxy Note10, we’ll see.
