These Titanium Galaxy S10+ Cases Cost More Than The Device Itself

The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is one of the most popular smartphones in the market at the moment, and a company called “GRAY” has just introduced a series of cases made out of titanium for Samsung’s flagship.

These are all luxury cases, and actually cost more than the device itself. GRAY’s titanium cases for the Galaxy S10+ are priced between $600 and $1,250, says the company. For those of you who are unaware, GRAY is actually a Singapore company which manufactures luxury cases, and after making them for Apple’s iPhones for the last three years, the company opted to create a lineup for the Galaxy S10+ as well.

GRAY actually says that quite a few people requested their titanium case for the Galaxy S10+, which is why the company opted to make it a reality. The Advent Titanium case is made out of aerospace grade 5 titanium, which is material used in both aviation and Formula 1. GRAY says that grade 5 titanium is 2.5 times stronger than steel, and that it weighs half as much.

The design of the company’s Advent Titanium case has been inspired by the aerodynamic shape of hypersonic planes, says the company, and the case itself really does look different than pretty much anything out there, as you can see in the provided images.

In addition to the Advent Titanium, GRAY also introduces three other cases as part of this collection, the Stealth, GOld, and Aurora cases. GRAY’s customers actually have a chance to engrave their own names onto these cases, if they want.

The Advent Stealth and Gold are the result of a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coat, which GRAY says is the most durable coloring process available for materials such as titanium. The Advent Stealth is actually limited to 100 pieces on a global scale, and priced at $759. The Advent Gold, on the other hand, is limited to 50 pieces and costs $1,163.

The Advent Aurora is yet another case variant that GRAY created, and it is created by individually hand-torching titanium, says the company. This makes each piece of the case completely unique due to the random formation of colors. The Advent Aurora, much like Advent Gold, is limited to 50 units on a global scale, and priced at $1,315.

All of these cases are currently available for pre-order on the company’s official website, just in case you’re interested in purchasing any of them. Some images and a promo video are placed down below, just so you can take a closer look at what the company has to offer.

GRAY did not mention the Galaxy S10e, S10, or S10 5G in its press release, but chances are that the Galaxy S10+ will remain the only phone that the company offers cases for. The Galaxy S10+ is expected to be the best selling Galaxy S10-branded smartphone, so it’s not exactly surprising that GRAY opted for it. The Galaxy S10 5G is a bit more powerful, but its availability will be limited due to 5G connectivity, and not nearly as many people will buy that device compared to the Galaxy S10+.
