OUKITEL has announced that the OUKITEL K9 will become available for pre-order starting on May 13. The company says that the phone will cost $199.99 during the pre-sale period, which is a $50 discount, for those of you keeping track, as the phone’s regular price tag is $249.99.
Having said that, the company has released a promo video for this smartphone via its official YouTube channel. This video focuses on the phone’s design, and it also gives you a chance to take a closer look at the device, as it doubles as a hands-on video.
In this video clip, OUKITEL also mentions a number of spec-related info. The video is embedded down below, and it has a duration of five and a half minutes. You will also be able to check the phone’s UI in this video, as the company goes through the menus on the device, and also runs some apps.
This phone is made out of metal and glass, and its back side is curved. The device includes two vertically-aligned cameras on the back, and those two cameras do protrude a bit. A dual-LED flash sits right next to those cameras, while a rear-facing fingerprint scanner is located right below them.
The OUKITEL K9 has a waterdrop notch on its display, while a “chin” is also present below the display, but its bezels are really thin overall. All the physical buttons can be found on the right-hand side of the phone, including volume up, volume down, and power / lock keys.
This handset actually comes with a really large display, a 7.12-inch fullHD+ panel, which is a tablet-sized display. The phone is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P35 64-bit octa-core processor, while Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on the device.
A 6,000mAh battery is included in the package, and it supports 5V/6A charging. The OUKITEL K9 ships with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The phone has two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and it supports 4G LTE connectivity.
16 and 2-megapixel cameras are included on the back of the OUKITEL K9, while a single 8-megapixel camera can be found on the phone’s front side. The phone is available in both Black and Blue color options, and it can be purchased from both AliExpress and Banggood. Once again, the phone is available for pre-order as we speak, but its price tag is still not $199.99, it will be starting on May 13.
