Best Android Apps — Father's Day — June 2019

Father’s Day is right around the corner, at least in the US. June 16 is the day this year, and for that occasion, we’ve put together a list of applications for dads. We tried to be as versatile as possible with our selections here, because a ton of apps can be included on this list, in all honesty.

Apps on this list are mostly to help out dads in various situations, while you will also find an app or two that are here for pure fun. So, apps here range from entries that will help dads take care of a baby and set up chores for kids, to apps that will help them relax, and make a great BBQ for the family.

There are all sorts of apps included here, but before you start browsing, please note that these apps are not listed in any specific order, so just because one app is placed in front of the other does not mean anything.

Baby Sleep

Baby Sleep is essentially an application that is supposed to help babies fall asleep, and at the same time help their parents get some rest. This app comes with a great UI, and it uses classic white noise sounds (lullabies) which have proved to be effective in the past. These sounds resemble the natural sounds of the womb, says the developer, and thus create an environment babies are used to.

Shoppie is an interactive grocery shopping list. If you’re one of those dads that go grocery shopping quite frequently, an app like this could prove to be quite useful. This app has over 100 colorful illustrations, and makes it really easy to keep track of what you need, and what you already bought. There are various categories in the app, including fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy products, and more.

This app comes with a memory timeline for each family member, and you can save both images and video here. You can also use this app to print your memories as Photobooks, Canvases, Magnets, and more. You can even include voice or video commentary with each memory if you’d like. There are some other features that you may like here.

1 Second Everyday

1 Second Everyday app is also an app that specializes in preserving memories. This app allows you to record one second video every single day. So, you can basically use it to create a 1-second memory with your kids every single day, or every time you get a chance to, and then create a montage after a while, or simply keep all of that as a memory. It’s a great way to keep memories, and with everyone’s busy lives these days, 1 second may be all you’ll get on some days from your kids.

If you’d like to perfect your BBQ skills and surprise your family, HowToBBQRight may be just right for you. This application focuses on barbecue recipes, and it actually has a really nice UI, which is not something we can say for many cooking apps out there. This app is currently holding a 5-star rating in the Play Store, and the content comes from Malcom Reed, a pitmaster from HowToBBQRight.
