Premium audio technology company Klipsch has now announced that the T5 Series earphones are available to purchase. That includes four different varieties catering to a wide range of uses and lifestyles, with three wireless configurations and one wired version.
Among those new listening devices is the company’s first-ever pair of true wireless listening device, the T5 True Wireless Earphones. As the branding implies, T5 True Wireless are earbuds that aren’t connected to either each other or the source device by a wire.
They also allow for up to eight hours of playback on a single charge. Thanks to the fast-charging USB-C enhanced brushed metal carry case, the T5 True Wireless buds can also push through up to 24-hours and see up to two hours from just a 15-minute charge too.
On the technical front, the T5 True Wireless buds also feature no fewer than four Clear Voice Chat microphones that allow for ambient noise reduction and better call quality as well as access to AI voice features via Google Assistant and others. A Bluetooth 5.0 chipset keeps audio clear at range while newly-reworked snap-fit oval ear tips keep things comfy up close.
What else and what makes these different?
The three remaining T5 Series earphones include the wireless T5 Sport and wireless T5 Neckband earphones as well as a T5M Wired variant. As the branding implies, these each follow in a similar vein as the new True Wireless earbuds from Klipsch but are more well-suited to different use cases.
The T5 Neckband earphones feature a 15-hour battery life with the same comfort-focused features as the True Wireless version and the same Bluetooth 5 connectivity. Instead of ditching the cable, those also feature a hand-stitched leather band, three button aluminum controls, and a drop down to two Clear Voice Chat mics.
Conversely, T5 Sport is sports-focused and swap out the leather band for a more durable fabric cable while also adding in ear wings to hold the buds in place during an intense workout or running sessions.
Battery life drops down to ten-hours but the same Clear Voice Chat mic is in place as well as Bluetooth 5, and a three-button remote for intuitive easy control over media playback. Comfort remains a factor with the Sport variant here too and the audio drivers are designed to be smaller so that they stay in place better.
The final device is a budget-friendly wired variation on the design with an aluminum single-button control built into its braided fabric cable. That’s sold under the T5M Wired branding.
Each of the new designs comes with an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. Additional soft oval silicon tips are included in the package to ensure maximum comfort and sound quality.
What will really set these headphones apart is the free Klipsch Connect App that will be ready this summer and works with the wireless variants of the listening gadgets. That not only helps users keep an eye on their battery life and receive updates for the headphones themselves. It also includes equalizer adjustment features and more, with features effectively guaranteed to improve over time.
Pricing and availability
In terms of pricing, the least expensive offering is going to be the Klipsch T5M Wired earphones, available right now in either black or white colors via select retailers or the official website at $59. The Klipsch T5 Sport is already up for purchase in the same color configurations at $99.
For the remaining devices, Klipsch says those will be ready in July, with the T5 True Wireless version arriving in a classic black with gold accents and a silver brushed aluminum case that opens like a Zippo lighter for $199. The T5 Neckband will available in brown leather with white accents or black leather at $119 and both gadgets are up for pre-order now.
