Gamevil’s latest RPG, Elune, is finally out of pre-registration and is now available on Google Play, allowing you to collect tons of different monsters and heroes to help save the multiple dimensions from impending doom. The monsters you collect are called Elunes, and there are over 200 that you can collect. Each of them also has their own unique abilities that can be used in combat so mixing and matching is recommended once you have more of them in your collection.
Since this is a gacha RPG collecting Elunes can be done mostly through gameplay but you’ll need to pay for them with the game’s currency, and although it shouldn’t take too long to build this up if you’re playing regularly you won’t be collecting every single one just through playing the game’s campaign. Collection is also random, so it won’t be the same for everyone each time you go to collect a new Elune.
If you happened to pre-register for Elune back when the pre-registration went live, Gamevil is offering up some in-game rewards to players after you complete the first two levels, so you’ll want to make sure and do this as soon as possible so you can claim those rewards and utilize them for future gameplay.
Though the initial download of the game itself is not very big, once installed it will ask you to download the rest of the game’s files which amounts to almost 1.2GB so make sure you have plenty of space.
Elune supports multiple languages, including English, but this is only for the text dialogue that comes up throughout the game. It does offer in-game audio dialogue but the only supported languages for this are Chinese and Korean, so if you play the game in English you will have to settle for subtitles. This might also seem a bit strange to some as the beta version of the game did have English audio as an option, so this might be a bug or it may have perhaps been just a change to the launch version that was made.
Combat doesn’t seem too terribly difficult especially if you go through the tutorial without skipping any of the content. What’s more is that battles are turn-based so you have some time to sit and think over your choices for which moves to use before you actually use them, which should be suitable for some good strategy as you learn the gameplay and the characters you’re using.
Battles are different in each dimension in a number of ways, so you may need to pick ones to use alongside your main that are better suited for the dimension that you’ll be in. Battles are also set up in fairly short stages like they are in many of the mobile RPGs on Google Play so things will have a bite-sized feel.
Elune is free, meaning you won’t have to pay for the game to download, install, and play it, but there are in-game purchases that can be made, and of course these are optional so they shouldn’t be a requirement or block progress like they do in some games. If you feel like giving the game a shot you can grab it from Google Play via the button below, where you’ll also find the game’s launch trailer.
