Ulefone is planning to launch a rugged flip phone by the end of this month. The device is called the Ulefone Armor Flip, and the company has announced this phone basically, by sharing its design and specifications.
This handset is IP68/IP69K certified for water and dust resistance, while it has two displays, one on the inside, and one on the outside. You can automatically answer a call on this device, all you have to do is open it up when a call is incoming.
No, this is not a smartphone, but a regular cellphone, in case you were wondering. The device can handle quite a bit of abuse it seems, as the company demonstrated that in its official promo video for this device. That video is embedded down below, and it has a duration of about one minute.
The phone comes with a dedicated music and FM radio buttons, and it even has an SOS button in case of an emergency. Ulefone is actually marketing this device as “the most rugged flip phone”, and it’s quite possible that’s the case.
The device does come with two SIM card slots (dual standby), while it is fueled by the MediaTek MT6261A processor. A 1,200mAh battery is included in the package, and the company says that the phone can last 13 days on standby.
The phone includes 32MB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while you can expand that storage by using a microSD card (up to 32GB). A 1.3-megapixel camera is included on this device, and it functions as both its front-facing and rear-facing unit.
The device supports 2G only, while it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Ulefone included Bluetooth 2.0 inside of this phone, and a micro USB port is placed on the device as well. The phone’s main display measures 2.4 inches (320 x 240), while its secondary display measures 1.44 inches.
The device comes in a black color only, and the company will include a pair of earphones in the retail box, along with the usual set of goodies you get with phones. Ulefone did say that this will be a “super-budget model”, but it did not say how much exactly will it cost. Considering this is a regular cellphone, it will certainly not going to cost much.
We’ll get more info in the near future, while the device will go on sale before the end of the month, as already mentioned. While we’re waiting for Ulefone to share more info, feel free to click the link down below in order to find out more about the device, or take a look at the company’s promo video which is embedded down below for your convenience.
