Gamescom Stadia Testers Share Their Experiences

Gamescom attendees who also happened to be Stadia testers have shared their experiences on the platform.

While Gamescom wrapped up officially at the end of last week, memories of the event for those who were there will last a long time. Some of those memories are the fond ones had by people who got to test out Stadia during the show.

Google was sure to record the short interviews and share them on the official Stadia twitter. After being asked what they thought following the Stadia play test, one person said it was very “fluid to play.

The same person also said you could “never tell that it was streaming.” These are good impressions for an upcoming fledgling platform that many consumers are rightfully skeptical of and worried about.

Good impressions may help assuage some of those fears though.

It Was Smooth And Shiny

Another attendee who was able to try the platform out called it “smooth and shiny,” also stating that it was as beautiful as playing it on a PC. The “it” here refers to the game this person was playing.

This game could have been Mortal Kombat 11 as this was one of the games that was available in a demo form at the show.

In a photo of the character select screen, one users was also able to capture a glimpse at what part of the Stadia UI looks like.

Playing Stadia When The Bosses Are Out Of The Office

Attendees also talked about the weirdest place they might like to play games on Stadia. One person suggested that they might like to play Stadia at work when the bosses are out of the office.

This is a sentiment that many consumers who plan to pick Stadia up can probably get on board with. Another attendee says it might be cool to play Stadia on a big screen like at the cinema.

One final attendee thinks the weirdest place they’ll play Stadia is at University. This could be one of the more common places that Stadia gets use, provided the people who have access also have compatible devices to play the games on.

Regardless of where people plan to play, it would seem that most people who tested Stadia out had a fairly positive experience, which is definitely not a bad thing.
