Motorola One Action Specs Leak Once Again Along With Price

Motorola is reportedly gearing up to launch the heavily leaked Moto One Action this week. A new report says that the phone will be officially announced in Brazil within the next few days as the company has already presumably started teasing the phone on its website.

The Moto One Action is expected to sport a 6.3-inches LCD display with a Full HD resolution of 2520×1080 pixels. This translates into a pixel density of 432 pixels per inch. The mid-ranger will have a tall 21: 9-aspect ratio, possibly for a cinematic viewing experience. The screen has a sizeable pinhole towards the left corner to house the selfie shooter. The front camera is tipped to be a 12-megapixels unit. The sensor will apparently be large enough to capture a decent amount of light, which will theoretically result in better shots.

Instead of going for a Qualcomm-made chipset, Motorola has reportedly decided to source the SoC for the Moto One Action from Samsung. Samsung’s chipsets are largely used in its own handsets and it’s not every day you come across another vendor opting for the South Korean giant’s silicon. The One Action will probably have the Exynos 9609 SoC under the hood, which is an octa-core chipset with a maximum clock rate of 2.2 gigahertz. For a mid-tier phone, the Exynos 9609 will most likely suffice. Like other smartphones of the One family, this one will also most probably come with a stock version of Android.

The phone will presumably come with at least 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Internal flash memory will be expandable, thanks to the MicroSD card slot. Per reports, a 3500mAh capacity battery will keep the lights on. It will be juiced via a USB Type-C port with a 10-watt power supply. The Moto One Action will apparently also have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, LTE, ac-WLAN, and NFC. Since this is a budget phone, it’s not surprising to hear that it’s expected to have a plastic build. Waterproofing is also a perk that this handset will not be getting. The phone will apparently weigh 181 grams and it will be 9.15 millimeters thick.

The Moto One Action is rumored to come with a rear triple camera system. The primary camera will apparently be a 12-megapixels sensor with an aperture size of F / 1.8. It will be joined by a 5-megapixel unit for collecting depth information.

It’s the third sensor that Motorola seems to be counting on to make its mid-range smartphone stand out. It will reportedly be a 16-megapixels unit with a 117 degrees wide field of view and will be called an action cam, hence the name of the phone. Basically, action cameras like GoPro and Sony Action Cam usually offer a wide field of view to create an immersive experience. Thus, the One Action can prove to be a great budget device to document adventures. It will supposedly also be possible to shoot 4K videos with the phone.

The Moto One Action is expected to cost 250 euros or $278. It looks like the phone will first be launched in Brazil and India before making its way to other markets.
