Razer Just Launched Custom Phone Cases Featuring Top Games

Razer is launching a line of custom phone cases featuring a few top games.

Keeping with the motto of For Gamers By Gamers, Razer’s cases let you represent your favorite games and game characters.

Right now the list is small for both games and phone types, but that list will grow. If you don’t see the game you like or the phone you have, hold out because chances are Razer will incorporate it.

The Razer Phone 2 Isn’t Supported

Oddly enough, the Razer Phone 2 is absent from the list of supported devices.

It’s shown in the official product video, but it’s not on the website and it was left out of Razer’s information.

At the bottom of the main page, Razer does state that support for the Razer Phone 2 is coming soon. When is unclear, but it’s on the way.

There Are Only Eight Supported Phones Right Now

There are eight total phones which are supported by Razer Customs. Included are the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus, the Google Pixel 2XL, Huawei P10 Plus, and four iPhone models.

The iPhones included are the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XSM.

Keep in mind that this is only the initial set of phones Razer Customs will make cases for. How often Razer will add more and when it will do so for the first time are unknown.

Razer’s FAQ for the custom case page doesn’t provide any insight, so if your phone isn’t supported you will just have to wait. If it isn’t a relatively newer phone though, or a popular one, it likely won’t be added.

Overwatch Is Clearly The Most Favored

If you’re wondering which games you can choose from, most of them are noticeable in the image above. Overwatch is included, and it’s clearly the most favored game.

For Overwatch alone there are 700 different options. This is split up across all eight phones, but even then that’s around 87 choices for each phone type.

The next game, Street Fighter, pails in comparison when it comes to the number of options as it sits at less than half. There are 323 total cases here, and again, this is split up across all 8 phones.

Beyond Overwatch and Street Fighter, you’ll find APB Reloaded, Megaman, Monster Hunter, Mount and Blade 2, Starcraft, Team Razer, Vainglory, and of course World of Warcraft.

Case Types Include Light Shells & Tough Cases

There are two case types that you can start with after selecting which phone you have. This includes Light Shells, and Tough Cases.

Obviously, the difference between the two is that the Tough Case provides better protection. It’s also a little more expensive.

If you’re looking to pick up a Tough Case, it’ll be $49.99 for any phone type. Meanwhile Light Shells will set you back $39.99. Razer lets you further customize the case by adding your name to it. So go wild here.

Pick your actual name, your gamer tag, or anything you desire really. Though, Razer will probably prohibit certain stuff. You are also limited to 15 characters, so if your gamer tag is exceptionally long it won’t work unless modified.

Custom cases are already available on the Razer Customs page and it looks like they’ll ship out in 5-7 business days after ordering.
