The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ were officially announced quite recently. The Galaxy Note 10 supports 25W charging max, while the Galaxy Note 10+ supports 45W charging, both phones ship with a 25W charger, though.
Having said that, the Galaxy Note 10+ reviews are still not up, and some of you may be wondering how fast that charging is. Samsung did not share official numbers, but some info did surface on Twitter.
Ice Universe, a well-known tipster, shared how fast can you charge up the Galaxy Note 10+ using 25W charging. This is rather useful info if you do not want to get a 45W charger, due to its price tag.
Samsung will allegedly sell its 45W charger for the Galaxy Note 10+, which is an extra $50 (rumored) you’ll have to spend. That may not seem a lot, but considering that the Galaxy Note 10+ costs over $1,000… that may not be necessary.
According to the information the source shared, you can fully charge the Galaxy Note 10+ in 64 minutes. This goes for a full charge, from 0 to 100-percent. As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 10+ has a 4,300mAh battery, so it’s rather large.
The source only shared info for the Galaxy Note 10+, not the regular Note 10. The regular phone should charge even faster with that same charger, as it has a smaller battery. The source also notes that the Galaxy Note 10+ can charge from 0 to 22-percent in 10 minutes. You can get up to 64-percent in half an hour and up to 96-percent in an hour.
Do note that these numbers will not always be the same, and your mileage may vary. It may vary quite a bit, actually. Let’s take the OnePlus 7 Pro for example. My unit charges from 0 to 100-percent in an hour straight, tested it three times. In some other cases, it takes about 5-10 minutes longer than that. If I tested my unit more times, I’m sure I’d get different results. The same thing applies to the Galaxy Note 10+.
If this information ends up being true, people won’t really need a 45W charger. A 45W charger should be able to charge the phone in way less than an hour, having 25W charging results in mind. Samsung did not disclose such information, though, and nobody has the charger yet, so we can’t confirm anything.
Whatever the case may be, both the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ offer really fast wired charging from the get-go. Wireless charging on both phones is also quite compelling, though it’s faster on the Galaxy Note 10+, as long as you have a compatible charger.
The Galaxy Note 10+ is larger than the Note 10, while it has some other benefits. The device comes with a larger battery, and an extra camera on the back. On top of that, its display offers considerably higher resolution, though they’re both curved Dynamic AMOLED panels.
