Best Of IFA 2019: Motorola One Zoom

Motorola’s One Zoom gives you powerful camera features in a stylish package for less

These days, smartphones do a lot more than they used to. Yet taking pictures is still one of the most heavily-used features. It should be no surprise then that cameras on phones are always a big focus.

Better cameras usually equate to a higher price tag, but not with Motorola. The One Zoom is offering industry-leading camera features for less money. This is all thanks to the quad camera system on the back to help expand the functions of smartphone photography.

And all while staying stylish at a reasonable price.

Four rear cameras, one powerful front camera, endless photo possibilities

Photos help preserve moments that are precious to us. Whether it’s a picturesque landscape or a portrait photo of you and a loved one, the One Zoom is poised to help you capture any moment with taking a picture of.

Selfie photos continue to be a popular way of sharing these moments, so naturally front-facing cameras are getting better. The front camera on the One Zoom is an incredibly powerful tool for these types of pictures.

It’s a 25-megapixel sensor and it packs in Motorola‘s Quad-Pixel technology to help photos come out with better lighting.

When it comes to the four cameras on the back, this is where photos can begin to get even more interesting. Each sensor has its own purpose, opening up possibilities for more types of photos. For example, there’s the main camera sensor that’s 48-megapixels for your standard photos.

There’s also the telephoto lens for better zoom quality. Motorola really believes in this particular aspect of the phone. So much so that Zoom is in the name.

With the One Zoom, gone are the days where you’ll have to deal with grainy or blurry shots when you try to zoom in on subjects that are far away. The One Zoom promises high quality and detail in your images thanks to the use of the 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

This comes with a 3x high-resolution optical zoom and a 10x hybrid zoom, and there’s even optical image stabilization to help prevent blurriness from shaky hands.

If you value great photos but aren’t keen on paying an astronomical sum for a phone that leads to them, the One Zoom is your phone. The best camera is the one you have with you, and that’s usually the one on your phone. But, your pictures shouldn’t have to suffer just because they’re not being taken with a proper DSLR.

Well-rounded features & a wallet-friendly price tag make this a standout device

It’s no secret that smartphones have become increasingly expensive due to the ever-expanding list of functions.  But it doesn’t have to be that way and Motorola is sticking to that mindset. The One Zoom has a well-rounded list of features with a wallet-friendly price tag.

Beyond the all the camera features, you get a big, beautiful display at 6.4-inches with an almost edge-to-edge design. There’s a big battery so you can use the phone longer. And, even if you manage to deplete it faster than you think, the One Zoom supports Motorola’s TurboPower charging.

It offers 128GB of storage as well, which means loads and loads of room for all those beautiful pictures that you’re taking. On top of that, there’s a 3.5mm headphone port so you can plug in wired headphones without a dongle, or use Bluetooth. It’ your choice. All of these features only cost the consumer $450. Compare that to similar devices which cost hundreds more, and the One Zoom starts to look really enticing. As it should. Hats off to Motorola, as the One Zoom is a device worthy of recognition.
