Jabra Took The Best Truly Wireless Earbuds & Somehow Made Them Even Better

Jabra has just announced the follow up to the very popular Elite 65t. They are the Jabra Elite 75t. The Elite 75t has big shoes to fill, and it looks like it’s going to fill them quite well.

The Jabra Elite 65t are said to be the very best truly wireless headphones on the market, and as an owner myself, I can’t disagree. So how can Jabra make them even better? Well, they are now even smaller, and have even better battery life. Those are two things that don’t normally go hand in hand.

How are the Elite 75t better than the Elite 65t?

The Jabra Elite 75t are better than the 65t in a couple of ways. As mentioned before, they are now smaller. Jabra says that they are about 20-percent smaller, compared to the Elite 65t. That’s no small feat, as the Elite 65t were already pretty small, and didn’t really hang out of your ears at all.

Even though they are 20-percent smaller, Jabra somehow was able to increase the battery life by about 50-percent. Which is also, no small feat. The Jabra Elite 75t now boast about seven and a half hours of continuous playback. That is actually pretty incredible for a pair of truly wireless headphones. Typically, those will last around four to five hours, if you’re lucky. So getting seven and a half is amazing.

With the included carrying case, you can get around 28 hours of playback total. That carrying case is also shorter but wider.

The last big change is something that’s small but makes a big difference. USB-C. The Elite 65t used micro USB for charging, but luckily the Elite 75t have made the switch over to USB-C. This means that a single cable can charge your phone and headphones. This is a trend that we’re seeing more headphone makers jump on this year. Including Sony.

Are the Elite 75t still great for working out?

Yes.

The Elite 75t do sport an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. That’s not the highest rating out there, but it means that you can sweat during a workout and it won’t damage the headphones at all. It also means that you can’t submerge them in water, like a pool or a shower, and expect them to still work.

Jabra also still includes a variety of eartips in the box, so you are able to use the pair of eartips that will fit your ears the best. This is important since no one has the same size ears.

Pricing & Availability

The Jabra Elite 75t sound great and all, but that doesn’t come cheap. And it doesn’t come with a price increase.

These are going to retail for $199. That’s a $30 price increase over the Elite 65t. Given all of the changes that Jabra has included here, that’s not a big surprise, and not a huge price increase either.

Pre-orders will start in the US on October 6 and will be available on November 1. Jabra says that the Elite 75t will be available from Amazon and Best Buy in the US.
