OPPO has just confirmed that its new 65W charging can charge up a 4,000mAh battery in less than half an hour. This has been revealed via an official video, and 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charge is the full name of the company’s technology.
OPPO shared this video via its official Weibo (Chinese social media) page. In the video, it compares 65W SuperVOOC charging to VOOC 3.0. Needless to say, 65W SuperVOOC blows VOOC 3.0 out of the water.
OPPO’s 65W charging is considerably faster than its “old” VOOC 3.0 technology
VOOC 3.0 was able to charge up the device up to 43-percent in 28 minutes. That is still a great feat, but nowhere near what the 65W SuperVOOC charging can do.
The company is charging up the OPPO Reno Ace with 65W SuperVOOC charging, by the way, though the device’s design is hidden by a case. That is to be expected, as the company does not want to reveal the phone ahead of time. We do have a pretty good idea how will the phone look like, though.
The OPPO Reno Ace is the company’s upcoming flagship. This handset will be the first to feature 65W SuperVOOC charging, and will arrive on October 10.
The company has confirmed this launch date for the phone in both China and London. So both the Chinese and global models will be announced on the same day, it seems.
The OPPO Reno Ace will look similar to the OPPO Reno 2
The OPPO Reno Ace will resemble the OPPO Reno 2 in terms of the design, almost certainly. Considering that the OPPO Reno 2 was already announced in India, it’s not really difficult to guess what to expect in the design department.
The OPPO Reno Ace will be made out of metal and glass. The phone will include extremely thin bezels, and probably a curved display. The phone will include a sharkfin pop-up camera setup, which may contain more than one camera, we’ll see.
At least four cameras will be placed on the back of the phone. The device will include a periscope-style camera system on the back, for crazy zoom capabilities.
The OPPO Reno Ace is expected to include a periscope-style camera, Snapdragon 855 Plus & more
UFS 3.0 storage will probably be included as well, even though the Reno 2 offers UFS 2.1 flash storage. A 6.55-inch display will probably be included in the Reno Ace. It remains to be seen if it will be a fullHD+ or a QHD+ display, though. 90Hz refresh rate is expected as well.
Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the Reno Ace, along with OPPO’s ColorOS 6.0. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus, and is expected to include up to 12GB of RAM. OPPO may announce both 4G and 5G variants of the phone.
That is pretty much everything that we know thus far. The OPPO Reno Ace will definitely be the most powerful smartphone the company ever announced. It is expected to become available soon after the announcement, so stay tuned.
