Samsung has finally announced pricing and availability for the Galaxy Watch Active 2.
The latest smartwatch from Samsung goes up for pre-order today, through September 26. Which means it should be available everywhere starting on September 27.
It’ll cost you $279.99 for the 40mm version and $299 for the 44mm version. This is for the Bluetooth version, the LTE version is not yet available.
Samsung is also giving out free Wireless Charger Portable Batteries to those that pre-order from Samsung.com.
Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a smartwatch and fitness tracker
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a pretty sweet smartwatch from Samsung. But it’s important to remember the “Active” part in the name. It’s a fitness tracker first, and smartwatch second.
Basically, it’s going to record your activity and workouts throughout the day, but also bring your notifications to your wrist.
There are also a number of apps available for the Galaxy Watch Active 2, like Uber, Samsung Health, Twitter and many more. Like the standard Galaxy Watch, you can use the Galaxy Wearable app to find new watch faces, apps and much more to add to your Galaxy Watch Active 2, which is pretty neat.
As mentioned, it is also a fitness tracker so it’ll track your activity throughout the day. As well as your workouts, calories burned and much more, through the Samsung Health app. It is also able to track your swimming, which is a pretty cool feature, especially for those that do a lot of swimming.
It comes in three colors, two sizes
As mentioned, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 does come in two sizes. There’s a smaller 40mm model and a larger 44mm model. Besides the watch face size, there is another difference between the two.
And that’s battery size. If you are one that would rather have a larger battery that can last up to a day longer, then the 44mm is going to be the route to go. Luckily, they are only $20 different, in price.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 also comes in three colors. There’s the standard Aqua Black color, that looks pretty nice. Then there is also a Cloud Silver, and Pink Gold colors. The bands are these colors, and the watch is also that color. Which makes it look pretty cool.
Samsung will of course be selling bands for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 separately.
