You Can Buy The Sonos One SL & Sonos Port Beginning Today

Announced last week at IFA, the Sonos One SL and Sonos Port are now available for purchase.

The Sonos One SL is the successor to the PLAY:1 that was announced many years ago (surprisingly). It’s essentially the Sonos One but without Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in.

Meanwhile the Sonos Port is a new product. It is essentially an Echo Input that you can connect to your stereo system and make it compatible with Sonos’ own system.

Familiar experience with a new name

The Sonos One SL will look very familiar to those that have the Sonos One or even the PLAY:1. It’s essentially the same design, with the only real changes being the removal of the microphones and the microphone button. Otherwise, it’s a Sonos One, with a cheaper price tag.

It’s available in a murdered-out black color, that looks really cool, if we’re being honest. It’s also available in white, if you want to change it up a bit.

It still has all of the great features that you come to expect from Sonos.

That includes the ability to do multi-room audio. The One SL can still pair with other speakers from Sonos, like the Sonos One, PLAY:1, Beam and others. Giving you a pretty cool full-home audio experience.

These stream over WiFi, so that there is little to no latency between them. Meaning that even if you have five speakers playing the same thing at the same time, you aren’t going to notice a big difference when it comes to playback.

It also still sports some pretty good audio quality. Despite how small this speaker is, Sonos has packed a lot inside. You’ll be amazed at just how good the bass is on this speaker. You’re going to get some really deep bass as well as some crystal clear mids and highs. Making for a great experience. With the Sonos app, you can also adjust the bass and treble to your liking.

The Sonos One SL is available for $179.

Bringing Sonos to your stereo system

Sonos Port aims to bring the Sonos system to your stereo system. Allowing you to bring multi-room audio to your stereo system which is a really cool feature.

The Sonos Port is available starting at $399. Which is pretty pricey for this, especially considering Amazon’s Echo Input is just $15. But the Sonos Port is doing a lot more than just bringing Alexa to your stereo system.
