The Ulefone Armor X3 is one of the company’s newest smartphones. This is the company’s budget rugged handset, and a new promo video for the device just appeared.
This video has been published on Ulefone’s official YouTube page, and it has a duration of a minute and a half. In the video, you’ll basically see how tough the Ulefone Armor X3 is.
Ulefone Armor X3 vs concrete
The company decided to put the device into the concrete. First it placed it in a box filled with concrete, and then threw some more concrete on the device.
After a while, when the concrete toughened, it was time to get it out. The company’s employee took a hammer, and basically cracked concrete all around the phone. The device worked perfectly fine after the concrete was removed.
Ulefone also decided to freeze the Ulefone Armor X3. Yes, you read that right, Ulefone placed it in a plastic box, filled the box with water, and put it in the freezer. After the phone froze, and ice got cracked around it, it continued working perfectly.
As is the freeze test wasn’t odd enough, Ulefone opted to spill boiling water all over the phone. The company boiled some water, and then filled a plastic tank with it, in which the Armor X3 was placed. That did not harm the phone either, by the way.
The device survived being poked by an electric drill
In the last test, the Armor X3 faced an electric drill. The company powered on the drill and basically poked the phone’s display with it. The phone was fine after that test as well.
This budget smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD+ display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Its storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 128GB.
MediaTek’s MT6580 64-bit quad-core processor fuels the phone, while Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on it. The device offers face unlock function, and it utilizes its front-facing camera for that purpose.
Speaking of which, a 5-megapixel camera is included on the phone’s front side. On the other hand, 8 and 2-megapixel units are available on the phone’s back.
This phone offers two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and supports 3G connectivity. Bluetooth 4.0 is included as well, as is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Armor X3 is IP68/IP69K certified, and it comes with a 5,000mAh battery. The phone measures 158 x 77.5 x 13.85mm, while it weighs 235 grams.
