Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 To Sport Extremely Thin Bezels & Curved Display: Leak

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was announced back in October last year, and its successor is coming soon. The alleged Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 front panel has surfaced in China, and it suggests the phone will include extremely thin bezels.

In addition to that, this leak suggests that the phone will feature a curved display. Based on this image, the phone’s bottom bezel may be a hair thicker than the rest of its bezels. All in all, though, those bezels will be almost non-existent.

We haven’t really seen a single proper leak of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4’s design, so we don’t know what exactly to expect. Chances are that the company’s upcoming flagship will not be a slider phone, like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 probably won’t be a slider phone

As some of you probably remember, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 offers a sliding camera mechanism. That smartphone form factor did not really catch on, and chances are Xiaomi will opt for a different approach.

If we had to guess, we’d say that the Mi MIX 4 will include a pop-up selfie camera. The Redmi K20 (aka Xiaomi Mi 9T) and Redmi K20 Pro (aka Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro) have been quite popular. Part of their popularity can be pinned to their price tags, but their design is also something worth noting.

Those handsets feature extremely thin bezels, and a pop-up selfie camera. That seems to be the trend these days, and that’s probably what Xiaomi will utilize with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will be a flagship-grade phone, no doubt about that. The Mi MIX series of devices has become Xiaomi’s top flagship series of smartphones, more or less. The Mi 9 will probably sell way better than the Mi MIX 4, but the Mi MIX 4 is the best that Xiaomi will have to offer.

90Hz display, Snapdragon 855 Plus & 108MP camera

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4’s specifications did surface, several times. Rumors are claiming that the phone will include a display with 90Hz refresh rate. That is easily possible, as it has been popularized by OnePlus, and a number of OEMs are aiming to introduce such a display. Google’s Pixel 4 devices will probably feature such a panel as well.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4’s display will include QHD+ resolution, almost certainly. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 Plus, while it will include a large battery on the inside. Fast wired and wireless charging are also expected, by the way.

An in-display fingerprint scanner will be a part of the package as well, an optical one. A 108-megapixel camera will sit on the back of this smartphone, if rumors are to be believed. That will be Samsung’s ISOCELLL sensor, by the way.

Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship is expected to arrive in both 4G and 5G variants, while the device will offer up to 12GB of RAM, most probably.

Rumors are claiming that the Mi MIX 4 will arrive on September 24. The company has not confirmed anything just yet, though, so we’ll have to wait and see.
