Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha Gallery: Official Renders, Hands-On & Videos

Xiaomi had introduced several new devices yesterday. Out of all those devices, the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is definitely the most unique one. We already have plenty of coverage on this handset, but adding the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha image gallery to that list seemed like a good call. Why? Well, this phone is all about the design.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is unlike any other phone you’ve seen out there. The device comes with a wrap-around display, which Xiaomi refers to as “Surround Display”. That display goes all around the phone, so the vast majority of its outer shell is the display.

Xiaomi used titanium, glass, ceramic & ‘sapphire glass’ for this design

On top of that, the Mi MIX Alpha has extremely thin bezels above and below the display. Xiaomi even decided to spice things up, and include some premium materials into the mix. Xiaomi actually utilizes titanium, ceramic, and sapphire crystal glass on the Mi MIX Alpha.

The phone’s frame is made out of titanium, while the ceramic strip is placed on the back. The phone’s camera lenses are protected by sheets of sapphire crystal glass.

Combine all that, with the phone’s wrap-around display, and you’ll get a device that is hard to ignore. For that reasons, we’ve gathered all the official renders of the phone that we could dug up, and placed them in the Mi MIX Alpha gallery down below.

That’s not all, though. Several official hands-on videos also surfaced, giving us a better look at the phone. You can check those out as well, as they are included down below. As a bonus, Xiaomi’s Mi MIX Alpha promo video is also embedded here.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is extremely expensive

The Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha is currently in small scale production, but the company is hoping to change soon. Xiaomi is planning to push it to a large scale production by the end of this year. The price of the device is 19,999 Yuan ($2,807), which is… well, a premium price tag. That price will hopefully go down as time goes by.

The Mi MIX Alpha comes with a 7.92-inch 2088 x 2250 OLED display, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The phone’s storage is not expandable, though, so keep that in mind. A 4,050mAh battery is also included, while the device supports 40W wired fast charging.

The Snapdragon 855 Plus fuels this phone, while Android 10 comes pre-installed. On top of Google’s OS, you’ll find Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 skin.

A 108-megapixel camera is included on the back, as the phone’s main sensor. In addition to that, you’ll also find 12 and 20-megapixel camera, telephoto and ultrawide angle ones, respectively.

The phone does not include a camera on the front, it uses its rear-facing ones as selfie cameras. The vast majority of the phone’s back is the display, so that’s the only logical thing to do.

The phone also includes two SIM card slots, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is not available on it. That is pretty much it. If you’re interested in taking a closer look at the device, there’s plenty of content included down below.
