One of the most popular modes in Call of Duty since Black Ops has been Gun Game, and it’s now live in CoD Mobile. Though it’s been live for about three days now.
Right off the bat you’d think that you could jump in and play it as soon as you like. You’d be wrong. As it will be locked unless you meet one requirement.
If you’re eager to jump into a match of Gun Game and are curious to know what you need to do, there is really only one requirement to get out of the way. Level up your character.
Accessing Gun Game in CoD Mobile requires you to reach level 8
All you have to do is reach level 8 with your character and Gun Game will be unlocked. That’s it. The only requirement that has been put in place.
Reaching level 8 isn’t particularly hard. It doesn’t take that much time either. An hour or two of play time and you should easily reach this level. In fact you’ll probably surpass it.
Once Gun Game is unlocked, finding it isn’t too hard either. It’s not entirely out in the open though.
Gun Game is a featured mode, here’s what that means
Gun Game is a featured mode in Call of Duty Mobile. This means that it will be one of the highlighted game modes for play. To find and enter this mode, you need to tap on multiplayer.
Typically the game defaults to the “Core” modes. Unless you’ve already played the previous featured mode in the game, which is Free For All. After you tap on multiplayer, tap on the gray box above the yellow start button.
This is where the modes are located. Now tap on the “Featured” tab at the top left of the screen. This will bring up all the featured modes available. This is where you’ll find Gun Game.
Gun Game is only available for a limited time
As a featured mode, Gun Game won’t be available forever. It will stay live for 30 days and then it will be pulled. Since it’s been live for about three days, there are 27 days left before it leaves the game altogether.
There’s also no word on if it will be brought back into the game for another featured event or as a core mode to play. Since it’s limited, you’ll want to level up and unlock it as soon as you possibly can.
As well as play it often if you enjoy it. Gun Game isn’t just fun though. It also serves as a nice way to learn about many of the guns in the game, since you switch to the next weapon once you get a kill.
Each weapon is only kept briefly, but playing the mode multiple times can be an easy way to get more and more familiar with the weapons that are included. Then when you acquire them in regular core modes, you might have an easier time with them.
