King Of Fighters Allstar Goes Up For Pre-Registration In The US

The King of Fighters Allstar is an upcoming brawler game for Android, and it’s up for pre-registration in the US as of today.

The game has already launched in both Japan and Korea, and a worldwide launch is coming soon. If you enjoy the King of Fighters series then pre-registration is definitely recommended. This is because you will get special rewards.

Netmarble is even handing out rewards to the entire player base upon meeting each milestone.

The King of Fighters Allstar will launch worldwide in October

Though the game is already available in two countries, the global launch is this month. The specific launch date according to the Play Store will be October 22, so there is a bit of wait still.

The game already seems to have gathered a large following of fans. According to Netmarble it has reached the number one download spot on both Google Play and iOS in both Korea and Japan. What’s more is that between the two countries it has already risen to a total of 14 million players.

That number is only going to grow with the release to other global markets. It’s also a good indicator that pre-registration milestones will probably be easy to hit.

This isn’t a typical fighting game

Once you boot this up for the first time you’ll notice this isn’t a typical fighting game. It’s not even a fighting game at all really.

It’s more of an action brawler, which is how Netmarble is classifying it. Players will have to battle their way through multiple waves of enemies, as well as giant bosses. Think Streets of Rage, Final Fight, or Double Dragon, only with the King of Fighters roster for playable characters.

One thing to keep in mind is that the character roster is pretty large. To swap out your teams, you’ll need to collect more characters. That means the game has a gacha mechanic to it to acquire those new characters, and chances are logging in daily to play will help in working towards more opportunities to use it.

You’ll get to fight against rival players, too, so there is some PvP element to the game. There’s also real-time matches, so when you do fight against other players you’ll still need to think on your feet. In addition to this the game features a co-op mode where you can play with friends, just like the old days of playing brawlers on retro consoles.

King of Fighters Allstar is a free game, and will offer optional in-game purchases.
